May 30th

Weights for arms

2 mill miles in 39:51 with an average speed of 3.8, a low of 2.5 and the sprints at 5.3 mph

TeachX3 - May 31, 2007 08:26 PM (GMT)

May 31st

2 mill miles in 38:24 ... and that took everything out of me for today. :( My right leg was dragging and I was tripping slightly towards the end... UGH I hate that. Today I stayed at a more constant pace, around 3.8 mph and I did not do the slow downs and sprints and I shaved a bit of time off the total. I do not know what is best... constant or sprints and slow downs? Anyhow, I'm pooped out for today. :P I'll put my hair up and think I will turn the air conditioning up super high during the time I exercise and have more fans directly on me, that may help. I should probably also wear shorts...

triscuitwafer - June 1, 2007 03:10 AM (GMT)
great job! Wooo Hooo

Cherriterri - June 1, 2007 06:48 AM (GMT)
Great Job Teach.

I tend to change things up daily when I am on the mill. Some days I just stay at a constant pace and other days I speed up and slow down. Then I also add incline at times. I find that works my muscles without hurting them and I dont get bored either.

TeachX3 - June 1, 2007 03:00 PM (GMT)

Thanks Cherri! Than I will keep mixing it up... whatever I feel like at the time! ;)

shygemini - June 1, 2007 08:10 PM (GMT)

From personal experience i have found that interval training is best as I really push myself during the fast bits, then recover in the slower bit, have a drink of water, and am reved to go again for the fast part.

However there isn't really anything wrong with staying the same pace throughout, although to my thinking you would have to go longer to get the same benefit from it since you won't be pushing yourself as much?

As cherri said, it is best to mix things up once in awhile.

TeachX3 - June 1, 2007 08:52 PM (GMT)

:) Thanks Shy!

TeachX3 - June 4, 2007 07:05 PM (GMT)

Thanks Cherriterri! :D

June 4th

Clean house... dust, sweep, vacuum, etc... also deep scrubbed the master shower/tub, we have very hard water (well water, but it tastes so GOOD!) and I do not like cleaning the shower/tub, so I wait as long as I can, and well, the job is always extra hard because of that! LOL One would think I would learn a lesson here... ;)

1 mill mile in 17:26 ... WOOOT! :D

Tennis for an hour or two tonight!! YAY!!

Thanks for the support Cherriterri & purrrple Huggs

June 5th

*sigh* NONE again today... I did not feel well, and instead of exercise, I spent most of the day on my behind at the pc and then I made myself a chocolate peanut butter milk shake and took a nap. at the time, I wanted to do what I did and I even made myself think it was no big deal... and now, at 11 pm at night, I am disappointed in myself. Tomorrow is a new day, and I will do better... but it is also my weigh in day and I know it won't be a good one. :(

Cherriterri - June 6, 2007 05:09 AM (GMT)
Don't be too hard on yourself Teach. You need those "lazy"days every now and again to energize yourself again.
