I am absolutely PUMPED! Even with a bad exercise week, I made a significant loss. You'd think being so close to goal, I'd be having some trouble but it's nothing but GOOD NEWS. This is the lowest I have been in about 5 years. I'm gonna move my ticker a little. :D

LimeCrush - June 15, 2007 04:36 AM (GMT)
Great job! 135.3 huh! Well now i have to get my butt in gear so I can catch up to you!

Let's have a competition! Let's see who can hit your goal of 127 first. Are you up for it? :D

Weigh in 11 June - 61.5kgs/135.3lbs
This week 18 June - 62.1kgs/136.6

Goal next week - 61kgs/134.2

I'm very disappointed. I exercised, ate right. Even though I ate a little more than usual, I didn't expect to gain. So now I'm questioning, how the hell I'm ever going to maintain. I know I'm over reacting and I guess I'll just have to worry about it when I get there, just really frustrated at this point. Was really hoping to see 60 today. My motivation just went from YAY to NAY.

sarahinparis - June 18, 2007 10:44 AM (GMT)
Hey, I think you are doing GREAT!!

I know you had your heart set on 60kg this week, but reading your previous posts you had lost when you hadnt expected to, so this is probably your body just slightly catching up -- sometimes you get the bonus when you dont deserve it.... and sometimes to even out the karma, you get the blip up when you deserve to go down.

I know it's frustrating, but hang in there -- you are obviously doing the right things & working hard, and the scale will reflect that in the long run.

stormgirl - June 19, 2007 07:54 AM (GMT)
Hey flower that gain could have been some sort of fluid fluctuation rather than true weight gain. Don't despair...more than likely you will see that come off again plus a little extra on top. I have noticed that I have had fluid fluctuations at times that have soon disappeared. Try not to let it get you down too much. :huggs:

flowerfluffgirl - June 20, 2007 01:59 AM (GMT)
Thanks guys. I'm really hoping this week will be better. Cross your fingers...

Righ - June 20, 2007 08:38 AM (GMT)
Nil Desperandum Fluff, next week will better :)

I know what your going through! The odd time I do have a cheat day, only once a month or so, all I have is a cheeseburger and maybe a hot do and a brownie or something. And that's for the whole day. When I know we are going to be going out or cooking on the firepit I go easy. Yet I still gain! I'm worried about maintenance too because I don't know how I'm going to do it! :(

flowerfluffgirl - June 23, 2007 07:50 AM (GMT)
Limey, we'll get through it mate. I realise being on lower cals and then boosting so much, our bods prolly go into shock for a couple of weeks. I really can't wait to get to the bottom though and see how I go from there.

Yeah hooooo a LOSS! I still don't get it though...I ate 2000+ 3 days in the week, didn't exercise at all and I lost? Very confused. I did see a glimpse of 60 during the week too, so that was a boost. My current goal is still 61, although I woke up pretty crook this morning, so lets see how we go.

Congrats on the loss this week. Sometimes your body likes the calorie boost (if only that would work every week, lol)

TeachX3 - June 25, 2007 03:30 AM (GMT)

WOOOT!! :congratulations: On the LOSS Fluff!! :yourock:

shygemini - June 25, 2007 03:59 AM (GMT)
fantastic flowerfluff!

yeah, sometimes zigzagging calories is a good idea if it works for you...high some days and low others...or carb cycling is another thing...apparently i was carb cycling and zigzagging calories for a few weeks awhile back and i didn't even know i was doing it...tried to analyze how i did it and lost the effects

Downtown - June 25, 2007 02:39 PM (GMT)
:cheer: Yay fluff! ...I finally had a minute to check out your weigh ins and your doing soo good!!!! Five years and I'm guessing a few of your kids later and you're the lowest you've been?!! You must be pretty proud right now! From one mommy to another...NICE JOB :yourock:

Righ - June 26, 2007 09:18 AM (GMT)
Outstanding Fluff :happydance:

stormgirl - June 28, 2007 07:44 AM (GMT)
Woo hoo! The weight is coming off again...I had some weeks where I lost more weight but had eaten more and exercised less. Weird but hey, the important thing isthat you are losing again. :fantastic:

flowerfluffgirl - July 3, 2007 03:00 AM (GMT)
Missed yesterday, but weighed in at 61.8kgs, which is about the same as last week. I'm very pleased, I didn't exercise (due to sick hubby and daughter), but I have upped my cals a bit. I won't be weighing in again until the end of July. I'm jjust going to go hard for a while and weigh at the end. I get disappointed and lose motivation when I work my butt off and I gain, so I'd rather avoid knowing altogether. See you here then! :)

shygemini - July 3, 2007 03:04 AM (GMT)
maintaining sounds good considering what you have been up against and also increasing your cals!

good luck with the no weighing in until month end..i know i couldn't do it! :danceparty:

purrrple - July 3, 2007 04:17 AM (GMT)
good luck Fluff!

I think I might join you in not weighing myself til the end of July. It might make me behave myself more with food if I don't know what's happening on the scale. I'm sure my body will tell me if I'm not doing well.

You're not at too bad a weight now and I think just the toning and building muscle will make you look great!

Have you taken any recent pics you could post? I'd love to see an update.

I need to put my pics up in here from the other forum. This time I will make them proper full size ones with no passwords since our before and after pics are only able to be seen by members.

Increasing your cals was a good idea...it shows that you can maintain with the higher cals and when you do manage to get some exercise in you'll notice the difference with body composition.

You're doing awesome with this! :huggs:

stormgirl - July 3, 2007 06:45 AM (GMT)
Sounds like you have really found a nice balance with maintaining for a while flower...the exercise and toning can come later. Not weighing in til the end of the July sounds like something I could not do either so kudos to you girly!

sarahinparis - July 3, 2007 03:34 PM (GMT)
I think it is very wise to take a break from the low cal & daily weigh-in routine -- to move up to a higher cal range & to take a break from the scale is really an exercise in making the transition from "dieter" to "healthy living".

I am often a daily weigher, but at times when I've felt suffocated by the pressure I put on myself w tracking calories, exercise, wt loss, etc every day, I've taken periods of monthly check-ins that did help take some of the pressure off. And I also found that switching from calorie counting per se, to an exchange-type tracking system (one fruit, one starch serving, one protein unit, etc) also helped loosen me up from the strict calorie counting.

Good luck & I hope you find peace in this period.

flowerfluffgirl - July 4, 2007 12:47 AM (GMT)
Thanks for the support everyone, really appreciate it!

Sarah, you're exactly right about weighing in so often, it's just added pressure we don't need and thats why I've chosen not to weigh weekly for this next month. I'm going to put my scales in my husbands car so he takes them to work everyday, which means I won't be able to get to them LOL.

Purps, I do have update pics from when I was at 64kgs (I think thats around 142lbs), but I honestly don't see any difference. I can feel a difference in the way my clothes fit, but I just can't seem to see it. I was thinking maybe I should take a pic of my jeans when I started and the ones I'm in now. Other small changes - I've lost a cup size :(, my thighs are smaller and tighter :) OH and a BIG one, I'm a whole lot fitter, which is big for me and I'm loving it.

Anyway, I'll sort some pics out and post them in the next couple of days.

triscuitwafer - July 12, 2007 06:01 PM (GMT)
wow. your doing so good! I wanna be where your at! My first goal is 140 but I will see how I look and feel. I think I will want to lose more.

Downtown - August 13, 2007 02:51 AM (GMT)
Helloooo???? Fluff are you there??? Haven't seen you around For a LONG time... Hope you're doing well! :)

flowerfluffgirl - August 13, 2007 10:07 AM (GMT)
Hey peoples, so where am I at?

I didn't go hard. School hols rolled around and everything went out the window. We decided to put our house on the market. So juggling the baby and my kids, with trying to keep the house in pristine condition got a bit tiring. Then I went to the city for a few days and 3 of my kids and myself got deathly sick...I ended up in hospital. To make it worse, no rest for me since my husband had to work away. My kids were over it in about 2 weeks and I took a little longer to recover. For the first time in about 4 weeks I'm feeling great and can get through the day with no naps (although still very tired and my chest is still sore sometimes), I'm probably about 90%, which is a huge improvement. Hopefully I'll be back at the gym tomorrow - but we'll see.

On the weightloss front - I haven't been counting cals and I have been eating a little excessively, lots of convenience and junk food because I haven't had much energy for cooking, no exercise. I weighed in yesterday and suprise suprise 60.2kgs/132.4lbs. I think I am slightly dehydrated though, but I'm going to take the plunge and move my ticker to 61kgs/134.2lbs.

I'll will be going through the threads for the next couple days to catch up with where everyone else is. So far, looks like you are all having fun and doing a great job and thats always good to see.

flowerfluffgirl - August 13, 2007 10:09 AM (GMT)
PS...KAT- Good luck with your 140lb goal. You'll be there before you know it. :)

shygemini - August 13, 2007 02:54 PM (GMT)
good to hear from you flowerfluff! :huggs:
