Title: On the road to 209.....

shygemini - July 1, 2007 03:20 AM (GMT)
Well, i am now 2lbs away from 215lbs, which will be the landmark 50lbs lost for me. That is pretty exciting, and although its taken me longer then most (i have been working on losing weight since May 2006, so 14 months) i am pleased with the results and how i am toning as i am going along, as well as developing healthier habits.

I was going to make a challenge about getting to 50lbs lost, but that will be fairly soon now (all things being equal)...so i decided my challenge will be getting to 209lbs. To me that is an exciting goal as i'll be firmly on my way to under 200 at that point :happydance:

(but i will celebrate my 50lb landmark here as well).

You are doing great Shy...slow and steady is def the way to go. Your posts remind me so much of how I felt when I reached my goals. It is such a wonderful feeling to reach a new 'low' weight...anything seems possible. Just imagine what you are going to feel when you are into the 1's...party time :danceparty:

ok, i dug up this challenge

i think i need to remind myself that i need to push myself a bit more in order to reach my goals...not that i am going to overwork myself, just making some better choices and doing more exercise.

I'm quite ready to get going on this and really try my best :danceparty:

TeachX3 - August 10, 2007 04:15 PM (GMT)

WOOOT! :danceparty: You GO girl!!

i have to admit, i've been having too many treats lately!

it just seems like there is situation after situation where i can't avoid it. But i am hoping that is all done with now and i can get my food back on track. My exercising is good and i want to get to the gym everyday (even though i know my 2 rest days are important).

I'm going to change my ticker on wednesday to reflect whatever my weight might be. I think having the pressure of knowing i was 216.8lbs at one point just gets me down more then it is helping.

I thought i'd dig up this old thread, rather then starting a new one!

I love my comment that getting to 50lbs lost will be fairly soon...obviously that was not the case!

So i've been re-evaluating goals. My birthday is on June 15, and i really wanted to be under 200lbs by that point. That is 16 weeks away..and i weigh 221 lbs at the moment. I really want to see if i am able to lose at least 1 lb a week until my birthday, that will put me at 205 lbs, and i'll be happy with that. I can't imagine why that would not be doable, i just have to get myself in gear. I'm tired of being over 200lbs! :arghhh:

LimeCrush - April 1, 2008 12:47 PM (GMT)
You can definitely do it Shy! :cheer:

Are you still craving the desserts every night? I always want dessert so I really got into low cal jello. I make a box and separate it into 2 servings for 10-20 cals each. What I've been doing if I want something that tastes bad is I plop a serving of Cool Whip Light on top of the jello and then break a graham cracker over the top. 75-85 calories, yummy and guilt free.

shygemini - April 1, 2008 03:35 PM (GMT)
thank you for the support and suggestion lime! :huggs:

yes i am definately still craving desserts. I think it is just a case of not eating enough in the day, so by the time i eat supper i'm still not satisfied.

I'd love to weigh 221 lbs right now :( I'm sitting around the 225-6 mark still at the moment, but i know my food is to blame.
