Title: I am proud of myself today for _____________
Description: Fill in the blank!!!
sarahinparis - July 19, 2007 08:50 AM (GMT)
Every day we make a lot of small choices that together add up to healthy living. But no one knows how hard it was to turn down that second helping of mashed potatoes, or to not have the handful of M&Ms or how you had no energy left but you went for a walk anyway.
Celebrate your daily accomplishments here!
Nothing is too small to count - the goal is to be positive, even if it's "I didnt eat the cherry on the super-sized banana split!"

I'll start, to get this going (based on yesterday)
I am proud of myself for only having a small amount of pasta w the fresh pesto I made from our overgrowth of basil from our garden.

Nice one Sarah, it is amazing how important those little accomplishments can become. :happydance:
I am finding it hard to find anything positiveabout my diet and exercise right now but am going to go to the gym laterand thrash it out.
NicC - July 19, 2007 01:15 PM (GMT)
Great idea Sarah, it will force us to think about the positive changes instead of any slip-ups!
Here it goes:
I squeezed in an Arm Toning Pilates last night even though I was in the middle of watching a TV show. Also when I got hungry late last night I ate a cup of frozen blueberries instead of getting into junky food. :)

I chose the fresh fruit cup for dessert after dinner rather than a sweet roll! :D
Hollywoodera - July 19, 2007 02:33 PM (GMT)
im chokeing down a nutrition bar for breakfast.. instead of not eating breakfast and fasting till noon. =)
:fantastic:
and i only had half a cup of coffee, and im going to go grab some water right now!
OH, and another thing, :goodidea:
ive COMPLETELY (on the weekdays) cut out coffee from the expresso stands... if you remember from HWF i was having issues with my
16 OZ Triple shot soy vanilla latteee =) and when i do go out to coffee with the girls on weekends i get iced americanos! This might also be because im POOR but lets go with the weight loss aspect. hahahahahahahahaha.
shygemini - July 19, 2007 08:50 PM (GMT)
buying water at my morning coffee break instead of a green tea drink, or coffee!
there are side effects though, namely alot of yawning since i didn't get my caffeine fix!

I am proud of myself for making a veggie-centered dinner for me & my husband (ok, he had a little leftover steak on the side...)
I am proud of myself for eating 2 chocolates for dessert and throwing away #3 because I didn't need more.

I am proud of myself for having half a sandwich and giving the other half to my friend, instead of eating the whole thing all by myself. Win-win situation: 1/2 the calories, and happy friend :D
That was the first day in a very long time that I didn't take a packed lunch with me, and bought lunch from a nearby cafe.
NicC - July 20, 2007 02:29 PM (GMT)
I'm proud of myself for making a no-meat meal last night.
TeachX3 - July 20, 2007 03:58 PM (GMT)
... for controlling my anger
LimeCrush - July 20, 2007 04:12 PM (GMT)
I'm proud of myself for finally reaching the 120's. I never dreamed it was possible or that I could do it.

I am proud of myself for listening to my gut and staying home tonight to take care of myself.
shygemini - July 31, 2007 09:56 PM (GMT)
I am proud of myself today for choosing a trail mix granola bar, which i had to buy, over a free coffee crisp bar. I was feeling (ok, am feeling) exhausted and needed an energy boost, the bar was right there in my locker (free gift for buying some lab supplies) and i was going to eat it but i just didn't want to..nice to know my willpower is still functional :happydance:

I am proud of myself for going to the market and buying fruit & veggies.
And for going for a walk (although I should be working...)
triscuitwafer - December 2, 2007 08:11 AM (GMT)
I am drinking water right now instead of eating junk before bed.
NicC - March 7, 2008 02:18 PM (GMT)

Finally using my reusable coffee mug!! Since i get a coffee every weekday morning, that is around 220 (i took off a few weeks for vacation etc) disposable coffee cups, sleeves, and lids which i won't be adding to the landfills :D Plus, the reusable mug doesn't burn my hand!
NicC - April 3, 2008 04:21 PM (GMT)
Nice Shy!
I am proud of myself for using AIRMILES to order myself some BON JOVI to make my C25K TM adventure more fun. I did this instead of celebrating my being back in One-derland with a food splurge!
TeachX3 - April 29, 2008 05:12 PM (GMT)
Day 2 of my challenge and I am still doing it, so I am proud of myself for that!
NicC - May 6, 2008 05:36 PM (GMT)
Eating my fruits and veggies: as of 1:34 pm (way before supper, which is usually when I have the majority of veggies) I have had:
1 apple, 1 banana, 1 med tomato, 2 cups of sliced cucumbers and 10 olives
:danceparty:
TeachX3 - May 7, 2008 02:51 AM (GMT)

I am proud of myself today for...
Skipping the Tator Tots and Mac&Cheese that the rest of my family had at dinner and having a large salad instead! :D
