thanks gals!
i think it will be great!
after years of hinting that i would love to go to a spa, someone finally took the hint so i'm looking forward to seeing what it is like! :danceparty:
i thought the facial might be nice as well but i've heard your skin sometimes reacts badly afterwards..and since i have sensitive skin not sure that is the best idea..i'll ask when i go.

Definitly ask about the facial! My skin is not sensitive but is tender afterwards. There are so many different products out there though that I am sure they will have something for sensitive skin.
Hope you have a marvelous day at the spa Shy!! You deserve it!!

What an awesome gift! Being a nail tech, I'd only ever had a pedicure once during training BUT while I was preggers with my 3rd son I couldn't reach my feet and treated myself. It was absolutely LUSH! You feel so incredibly flash afterwards...lol. You'll thoroughly enjoy yourself. Have fun!

jaxx-- i will ask for sure, i actually want to know about everything they do there! i have a feeling i'll love the spa!
flower- thanks! i could use some help with my nails, they aren't the best, but i try! i went for a manicure one time ( i guess that counts as a "spa" thing, forgot about that) and the whole time the lady berated me on how bad they were  I don't even think they are bad, i just used to bite them, and my cuticles were a bit out of hand.. Needless to say i didn't go back.
I am wondering gals, do i need to try and prepare my feet beforehand? Obviously i will make sure they are clean, but do i need to cut nails or anything or not worry about it?
Happyjaxx - August 18, 2007 05:33 PM (GMT)
I don't do anything before mine, they prep and cut themselves. If i know that i'm going in advance I'll at least shave my legs  Just make sure you do it a bit in advance and not the morning of. I'm sure they'll have things to read but I usually get a magazine or book and bring it with me.

thank you jaxx! i will make sure not to shave tommorow morning, i'm guessing my legs might be too sensitive or something if i do?
Happyjaxx - August 18, 2007 11:21 PM (GMT)
yeah it depends on what sort of solutions they put in the water (disenfectants, salts etc.) I made that mistake once and I'll never do it again. Every place is different but I always err on the side caution
I bet you can't wait!! :bouncy: :bouncy:
Enjoy your day Shy...you deserve it!

it was pretty fantastic, i just got back. I really enjoyed i t, especially the foot massage..my goodness...so relaxing! I really liked the lady who did the pedicure for me so i think i might treat myself at some point with a facial and go to her again.
