Hi Shy, you can go to
Image Shack, click Browse and select a pic to upload from your computer. Click on "host it!" and then copy the last link at the bottom of the page (Direct link to image) and paste it to the avatar settings area in your control panel here. Then select "Update Avatar" :)

I noticed the other day that my avatar wasn't showing correctly so I was trying to correct it and I'm stumped.
Usually there is a way to upload an image from your computer but apparently not for this site - so I tried the various possibilities from my photobucket account, but each time I get this error (with all 4 of the types of links in photobucket)
--------
Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information.
The error returned was:
Sorry, that is not a valid file extension
---------------
Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

The *name* of your av probably exceeds the maximum number of text characters allowed for a link url. In other words, you prob just need to shorten the name you have given your av in your photobucket. You need to use the DIRECT LINK given in photobucket and input it into your CP avatar section. If you need any help whatsoever, I can set your av for you through admin controls. I just need the direct link url.
No, no uploading allowed on F4LF at this time due to limited space. I may at a later date purchase more space for our use but until then all photos/avatars/etc... must be hosted by an outside source.
If anyone ever has any questions or needs any help at all, please do not hesitate to ask!! :D
:huggs: Hope this helps you out Sarah!
