Title: Halloween Costume?
shygemini - October 18, 2007 09:04 PM (GMT)
Hey all!
I am suppsoed to go to a halloween party next week and i haven't got an idea of what to dress up as. Stormy suggested being a witch and i may indeed do that...but i'd be interested in hearing other suggestions!
I want something which is fairly easy (ie not too much assembly/ preferably no sewing required) and hopefully recognizable, and not too expensive...i'm certainly not buying a costume as i know some are.
I try to stay away from face paint as i react badly to it :)
Thanks! :danceparty:

awww, I'm sorry girl, I have no clue! We do not even celebrate halloween in my family, so I truly do not have any ideas for you. Have fun and be safe!

So I've been googling for about 30 minutes for a costume and I have come to the decision that there are a lot of strange people in the world lol. Here are some cute and easy ones:
Raggedy Ann (Sp?)-pair of plaid pj's. apron, and white tube socks
Blue from Blue's Clues- Pair of Blue sweats that you paint blue dot's on, headband and something to make blue ears with (the lady used foam)

There was also a highway, tickled pink which involved wearing pink and carrying a feather to tickle everyone  ghost etc

LMAO at tickled pink, hehehehe

i'm thinking about maybe being a greek goddess (pretty easy, white materal, gold rope, vine headband) or cleopatra (also easy...black dress, black wig, makeup, gold jewelry)
i was looking up costumes and i burst out laughing when i saw the costume here:
http://members.aol.com/pumpkinave/costumes/skater.htmi have this EXACT COSTUME in a box at home , obviously it is a typical skaters costume, i wore it when i was 10 or so  ...i remember it was alot of trouble to make. :)

oh and the other idea i am thinking of is curtesy of jaxx...a 20s flapper! i would just have to get a feather hat, boa, maybe some gloves and fishnet stockings

All are great ideas!
 at the Skater costume...cute!

I'd go with greek goddess myself! Sound wonderful! :) A 20's Flapper would also be great, you'll have the whole Christina Aguilera vibe going on. Let us know what do decide.
