flowerfluffgirl - November 11, 2007 11:00 PM (GMT)
Week 2 challenge to keep a food diary and stay within chosen calorie range - for me 1300-1600cals.

flowerfluffgirl - November 12, 2007 11:15 AM (GMT)
Monday:

310 - 2 slices of toast topped with cottage cheese and grape tomatoes
100 - V8 juice box
100 - Salad (baby spinach/grape tomatoes/mushrooms/dressing)
75 - Fun size Kit Kat
150 - Cottage cheese on toast
500 - Spinach ravioli with cheese and tomato sauce
Megaloads of water

1235 TOTAL

I struggled today because it was over 40c (about 110) and our air con broke! OH JOY. Hopefully someone can come out tomorrow and fix it. Until then, my appetite is gone. I'm just eating because I have to.

NicC - November 12, 2007 02:55 PM (GMT)
At least you didn't go under 1200 so I think you are fine (except for the goal you set). 40 C is sooo hot, I'd probably end up in bed with Heat Stroke - so I think drinking the water is the most important thing - you totally did the right thing.

It was hard today. I tried to fit in as much food as I could before 11am, while it was cool.

300 - 2 slices of toast topped with cottage cheese
400 - 2 soy sausages/small serve of mashed potatoes/small serve of peas & corn
75 - fun size kit kat
200 - small peice of mud cake
420 - vege slice
- small scoop of packet pasta
- serve of salad (lettuce/spinach/mushroom/cucumber/tomato/avocado/dressing/salad sprinkles)
MEGA water again

TOTAL 1395

hi flowerfluff:

As you gals know, i'll be the first one in line to advocate not starving yourself when losing weight, eating enough calories for your exercise level etc. However, i really think we need to listen to our body. If eating too much is actually making you ill, this is not a good thing. Really when it is so hot out i'd agree and say you should j ust be making sure to drink lots of water. Maybe you could make yourself some fruit smoothies or something ?

If you want to get the calories up there, i guess the key is to eat high calorie but healthy foods (nuts, dried fruit etc).

Anyway i think you are doing really good considering how hot it is. :yourock:

Happyjaxx - November 13, 2007 04:11 PM (GMT)
I agree with Shy. You're doing great considering the heat.

flowerfluffgirl - November 14, 2007 12:19 PM (GMT)
Thanks gals. I totally agree. I went out today and got some high cal snacks - yoghurt and muesli, wheat crackers with veggie dips, that kinda thing. I also got salad sprinkles yesterday - sesame seeds, garlic seeds, sunflower seeds etc, to add some cals to my salads. So the rest of the week should be a breeze for me.

TODAY:

120 - banana
350 - sandwich (cottage cheese/tomato/lettuce)
50 - about a cup or less of salad
200 - protein/health food shake
600 - dinner (quiche/basic green salad/about 8 hot chips)
Mega water!!!

1320 TOTAL

Hmmm...doesn't seem like a lot of food, but I'm STUFFED! :)

hm cottage cheese in a sandwich...is that good? i would imagine if it sits for too long it would get soggy but it would be ok straight away.

flowerfluffgirl - November 15, 2007 11:03 AM (GMT)
Nope the cottage cheese in sandwich was terrible hahahaha. I'll never do it again!

TODAY:

200 - protein shake
470 - lunch

- green salad with tomato and cottage cheese
150 - yoghurt
600 - dinner homemade burgers
- bun/soy burger/cheese slice/baby spinach/tomato

1420 TOTAL

NicC - November 15, 2007 01:36 PM (GMT)
Nice!

flowerfluffgirl - November 18, 2007 02:51 AM (GMT)
Ok, so Friday I blew out the window by having a more than a few sneaky drinks. Yesterday I know what I ate, but it wasn't much and I know I didn't reach my goal. Today I am up to about 600 cals. Now helathy cals either and tonight is our roast dinner night at the tavern with friends, so we'll see how we go.
