Title: NicC's 2008 weigh-down weigh-in
Description: I'm going to Thursdays like Teach

NicC - January 1, 2008 04:01 PM (GMT)
Didn't look at the scale this morning - first official (very scary weigh-in) will be Jan 3 along with Teach.

TeachX3 - January 2, 2008 06:56 AM (GMT)

Mine will be scary too girl... but we will take one look at that scale and say HA! YOU THINK YOU GOT ONE UP ON ME?? HUH? DO YA?? WELL LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING... *I* AM THE ONE IN CONTROL HERE AND *I* AM THE ONE WHO DETERMINES WHAT YOU SAY! SO JUST YOU WAIT, COME NEXT WEEK, OR PERHAPS THE WEEK AFTER, YOU WILL BE SAYING YOUR THING MUCH LOWER! :D Wooot! It's ON!

NicC - January 2, 2008 04:55 PM (GMT)
 You almost make me look forward to tomorrow.

featherlitegal - January 2, 2008 04:56 PM (GMT)
Yay, Teach, give that scale 'what for'. :)

You'll be okay, Nicc. Whatever the sale says, you've got the history to prove you keep doing this right.

NicC - January 3, 2008 01:40 PM (GMT)
OK not SOOO bad 198 post Christmas (and I still feel bloated and TOM finally showed up this morning...

TeachX3 - January 3, 2008 04:19 PM (GMT)
WOOOT!! :congratulations: Mine was not so bad either Nic!! OMGosh girl, I think we may have the hang of this maintenance thing!! :jumping: I am so happy for you... awesome job!!

featherlitegal - January 3, 2008 04:48 PM (GMT)
Yippee for you, Nic! We all worried ourselves to pieces, but it was a relief in the end. Thank goodness now we can all just keep on moving towards our goals. Yay!

Princess2one - January 3, 2008 05:09 PM (GMT)
Nic thats great and there is a good chance that by the time TOM packs his bags and leaves that you will see a lost! ;)

shygemini - January 3, 2008 07:39 PM (GMT)
That's not so bad at all nic!

:danceparty:

purrrple - January 3, 2008 11:03 PM (GMT)
:congratulations: You've done great Nic :yourock:

NicC - January 10, 2008 01:13 PM (GMT)
Down to 195 this week - time to get to 189 permanently break my maintenance period (I've been btw 194-205 since last summer! eeks) but I MUST do it now before summer comes again!

Cherriterri - January 10, 2008 02:58 PM (GMT)
Great Job NicC.

featherlitegal - January 10, 2008 04:23 PM (GMT)
Go for it, Nic. What's your plan of attack for dropping the extra pounds?

shygemini - January 10, 2008 04:30 PM (GMT)
nic- i hear you! your 189 is like my 219...so elusive and yet so close! it makes me laugh at times how often i've seen 222.2 on my scale, obviously my body likes being that weight...and if it was a bit less i'd be pumped at staying at that weight...but as it is it is no good!

I'm sure you will break past this plateau period...alot of it is psychological when we are on a plateau (i think anyway)...we start to think that we aren't going to lose anyway, so we cheat a bit on food or whatever....(not saying you are doing this, but i know i do!).

TeachX3 - January 10, 2008 05:26 PM (GMT)

 You CAN DO IT Nic!! :yourock: girl and have what it takes!! WOOOT!

Princess2one - January 17, 2008 12:16 AM (GMT)
 Here's to a lost tommorrow!

NicC - January 17, 2008 01:58 AM (GMT)
Thanks for the Toast. I hope so - a little worried about the early part of my week though... oh well if not tomorrow then next week. Also I had to take Eno today so I hope it doesn't make me retain water, lol

NicC - January 17, 2008 01:25 PM (GMT)
No change but I think I accomplished some toning this week - my clothes are looser plus I think there is some water retention from the meds I took last night since I had very bad intestinal cramps...

shygemini - January 17, 2008 03:25 PM (GMT)
ugh...i hope you feel better soon :huggs:

good job on the toning though, that is always exciting! :cheer:

NicC - January 17, 2008 03:52 PM (GMT)
Thanks Shy - I think I will stick to 1 coffee today, hopefully the intestinal pains will stay away...

TeachX3 - January 17, 2008 05:16 PM (GMT)

Hope you feel better Nic :huggs: according to your exercise log and food diary, you are doing AWESOME... so, the scale not showing a loss does not mean anything. You are on track and next week it will show! :yourock: Nic!!

NicC - January 17, 2008 05:21 PM (GMT)
Thanks Teach, I hope you're right - I'm off to do some pilates before I walk to school to get the kiddos.

flowerfluffgirl - January 17, 2008 10:54 PM (GMT)
Loose clothing is probably one of the best signs you're moving forward. Well done!

featherlitegal - January 17, 2008 11:06 PM (GMT)
Ditto what Flower said. You'll get there hon. I see you walk to school for the kids - what a great thing to do for your health and their fun. :)

Cherriterri - January 18, 2008 02:56 AM (GMT)
Toning is a great accomplishment. You have obviously lost some fat then and that is perfect.

LimeCrush - January 18, 2008 05:35 PM (GMT)
Your doing so good! We're going to be celebrating your 100 lb. mark soon!!! :cheer: :cheer:

sapphire - January 19, 2008 09:45 AM (GMT)
I hope you're feeling better :huggs: Looser clothing is great. Do you take measurements by any chance?

NicC - January 19, 2008 07:06 PM (GMT)
I do take some measurements - I wish I had measured my waist this morning because I think my stomach looked flatter than usual, lol (My pants, the new ones, fit really well this morning too)

NicC - January 20, 2008 05:53 PM (GMT)
Ok used the tape this morning - my waist measured 33" (at my highest weight I think it was 48")

featherlitegal - January 20, 2008 06:37 PM (GMT)
:happydance: Nic !! :cheer:

Your waist is getting itty bitty lady! You must feel so cool about that!! Good job!!!

What do you attribute all this good change from?

shygemini - January 20, 2008 07:12 PM (GMT)
that is awesome nic!!! Loss in the waist is very noticeable and gives us lovely figures :D

NicC - January 20, 2008 09:09 PM (GMT)
Thank you FLG and Shy. Guess the exercise does help, huh?

NicC - January 24, 2008 01:46 PM (GMT)
Weight's still stuck, but my waist seems to be still shrinking. I could suck in to 32" at the smallest spot!

featherlitegal - January 24, 2008 03:20 PM (GMT)
If you're shrinking without dropping pounds that must mean you're losing fat and gaining muscle. They said something about that in that research the Doc in Tennessee did with those people eating whole milk dairy products. (Even when they didn't cut calories, they dropped fat and gained muscle - without loss of pounds on the scale)

shygemini - January 24, 2008 03:37 PM (GMT)
yep- i think losing inches is great, and it is probably a good idea for us to measure ourselves more, especially when on a plateau!

TeachX3 - January 24, 2008 05:08 PM (GMT)

Oooh loosing inches ROCK! :D

NicC - January 25, 2008 01:42 AM (GMT)
Thank you! I still would like to lose pounds though...

NicC - January 31, 2008 01:19 PM (GMT)
Still nothing happening. I saw 194 yesterday morning (why oh why is it always the day before I weigh in???). Today it was about 197/198 but it feels like water retention. I honestly think my weight is STUCK. I hope the February nutrition challenge fixes whatever I am doing wrong. :arghhh:

TeachX3 - January 31, 2008 03:54 PM (GMT)

Hang in there Nic, do not let this get you down! Hold steady with your nutrition and exercise and the scale will obey eventually. :huggs: You are doing wonderful, :yourock: big time!!

shygemini - January 31, 2008 03:54 PM (GMT)
:huggs: i know what you mean nic...i think the nutrition willl help alot. Did you see "the biggest loser" yesterday?
