Title: Not getting many notifications
featherlitegal - January 7, 2008 02:22 AM (GMT)
Hi All,
I'm finding that I don't get very many notifications from the board. I sometimes get an email letting me know that a topic is updated, but most of the time I don't get anything. Then I'll come on the board and see there have been many topics with comments. It's a little frustrating because it is hard to keep track of what is happening with everyone if the automatic board notices don't alert me. Is there something wrong that needs to be fixed? Or is it because I use Yahoo mail? (I do get some notices - but only a very few) I get all my notices from other groups all the time. I'm confused about what might be wrong.

It's not your email client, it's the board. This board is a free service, version 1.3 and is final, so the creators are no longer updating or fixing any bugs that exist in the system (and there are many)... sorry for the inconvenience, but it cannot be fixed. I just check the board daily or whenever I can for updates...

yes- unfortunately the best way to do this on our board is to look at the "active topics"-this will list all the topics which have been updated since your last visit and is what i use :)

Maybe someday, once we have a name, a domain, get more members and more support, I can change to a fully functional and more dependent board

Ahhhhh ok. I thought it was something unique to me. Well at least that's a relief. I'll take a look for that active topic link, Shy, that would be a big help. Thanks.

FLG, YOU are unique, but this error is not :D Anyhow, lol, you can find the " Today's Active Topics " link on both the PORTAL page (
http://z7.invisionfree.com/Fit4LifeForum/index.php?act=site ) left hand column, and also on the main forum page (
http://z7.invisionfree.com/Fit4LifeForum/index.php? ) at the bottom... hope those help! :)
