Title: New_Gurly's Weekly Weigh-in
Description: Weigh in
New_Gurly - January 16, 2008 04:46 AM (GMT)
I hope to call this my Weekly Weigh-less instead of Weigh-IN
Ok... so I am totally cracking myself up tonight. Well, I weighed in on Wednesday Jan 2 and my weight was 285  which is my highest...but I am going to weigh in tomorrow and see how goes it. I checked a few days ago and was 275...so I changed my ticker to that. I am hoping for a little more change. I have really been bustin' my booty exercising regularly and staying on track food wise. So we'll see tomorrow.
Wish me a good calorie burning sleep...I hope I dream of running on the treadmill...maybe I can burn some calories that way :joker:
I'll check in tomorrow!

featherlitegal - January 17, 2008 11:01 PM (GMT)
Wow! You must be doing a lot of running in your sleep - cuz you've got the pounds melting off quickly! Yippee for you! :) Keep going!
New_Gurly - January 18, 2008 01:13 AM (GMT)
Thank you all!!! I hope in my sleep I do crunches...cuz I can stand to do them in real life!!! I attribute some of my workouts to getting a Wii for Christmas. I play doubles tennis on it almost every evening with my daughter and sometimes by myself when she goes to bed. It's kind of a nice warm up before I go work out on the treadmill or do a tape!!
Also I admit that I have been doing my treadmill workouts while watching the biggest loser and I imagine Jillian and Bob are yelling at me and encouraging me to be strong....but I also imagine Bob's doing it without a shirt on.....HeeHee B) NicC is concerned about my heart rate getting too high though
Thanks again everyone you are :fantastic:
flowerfluffgirl - January 18, 2008 03:45 AM (GMT)
Those game consoles are AWESOME! I've been begging my hubby to find me a dance mat and game for mine. We have eyetoy and man that is a workout! Actually it's a great idea for the hot weather, stuck inside on school hols with kids. Might have to crank up a competition with them next week. Thanks for the lightbulb moment - (I wouldn't have thought of it if I didn't read your post!) hahaha.
LimeCrush - January 18, 2008 02:22 PM (GMT)
Your doing a great job New Gurly! Keep it up! :yourock:
Those Wii thingys are supposed to be great for workout's! I should get one but I'll wait till next Christmas when they are way cheaper lol!
NicC - January 18, 2008 04:06 PM (GMT)
I think we may be getting the Wii for my son's b-day. FAMILY exercise time, lol...
sapphire - January 19, 2008 10:12 AM (GMT)
Wish I could do crunches in my sleep too! You're doing great.
New_Gurly - January 25, 2008 04:12 PM (GMT)
Hello fellow fitters'
The good news is my ticker keeps moving in the right direction...down a total of 25 pounds this am!!!
The bad news is that I have had Strep Throat all week
so that makes me feel like the last 8 pounds haven't been earned...does that make me  wacko@!?!?!(#* It's ok if it does....it's not the first time I have fallen into that category!
featherlitegal - January 25, 2008 04:21 PM (GMT)
Ewww Strep! You poor thing. Take extra good care of yourself. Get your immune system back strong and you'll be on track again soon.
And of course those last 8 pounds count! I'd take 'em in a heartbeat so keep 'em. They're yours!
Congrats on being 25 down by the way!
As for being Wacko - well, you've come to my territory now ... hahaha. It's a nice place to be.
Have some chicken soup and lots of liquids. We want a healthy New Gurly!
New_Gurly - January 25, 2008 04:26 PM (GMT)
Thanks bunches FLGal! Hoping that I am on the road to recovery!
shygemini - January 25, 2008 05:28 PM (GMT)
oh dear, i hope you feel better soon!!! :huggs:
i agree, take care of yourself first and foremost. You may gain back a couple pounds when you feel better, you may not, but you have indeed lost those pounds! When i had my wisdom teeth extracted last june, i couldn't eat hardly anything for a month, and i got down to 216 pounds...but i gained 4 of those back fairly soon...however we are all different :)
Wackos are more fun then normalos....
Congrats on your 25lbs lost! :wooohooo:
NicC - January 25, 2008 08:53 PM (GMT)
Hope you are feeling better! 8 lbs wow - you are doing fantastic.
TeachX3 - January 25, 2008 08:59 PM (GMT)
:congratulations: on the pounds gone and I hope you get well super soon!! :flowers:
sapphire - February 1, 2008 03:34 PM (GMT)
Hope you get well soon :huggs: 8 lbs is great!
New_Gurly - March 2, 2008 03:44 PM (GMT)
Thanks bunches for the well wishes...unfortunately my husband must have been jealous so he came down with the flu!! Then, after getting him back to "normal"(I use this term loosely  ), my daughter started showing the symptoms too. She has been off school this whole week. But now she is thankfully on the mend!
I did get on the scale this week and I am holding my own....which I suppose is good since I haven't had much down time to workout. I am currently 260.5 but thought I would keep my ticker put as encouragement to change it when it goes down!
Thanks so much for stickin' with me! :rolling:
TeachX3 - March 2, 2008 06:21 PM (GMT)
WOOOT! :jumping: That is great news about your maintaining girl, but lots of :huggs: to your family... :( being sick stinks! Hope everyone is doing better now! :happyvalentinehearts:
Happyjaxx - March 3, 2008 12:58 AM (GMT)
I think you are doing great! Way to hang in there with so much "life" happening all around you. :yourock:
New_Gurly - March 3, 2008 03:09 AM (GMT)
Thanks so much Teach and Jaxx. I think we are all among the living again. But it is hard when everyone's sick and you're taking care of them. I feel like some days I didn't eat much and my calories really dropped because no one else was eating either. Then some days when I stayed home with my daughter and she was sleeping, I ate out of boredom. So I am very happy to be "breaking even". Hoping that I can get back to normal now and looking forward to everyone here feeling better.
healthymama - March 3, 2008 02:33 PM (GMT)
Sorry to hear your whole family was sick & I hope all of you are back to normal really soon. :)
shygemini - March 3, 2008 06:09 PM (GMT)
I can definately understand...i had the flu for a week myself...ugh! :( Glad to hear that everyone is getting better and that you managed to maintain during this difficult time...congrats! :huggs:
Glad to see you back on here as well :danceparty:
New_Gurly - March 4, 2008 01:10 AM (GMT)
Thanks Mama and Shy. Ohhh... and mama...we are never going to be back to normal!! Thanks for all of the encouraging words.
healthymama - March 4, 2008 05:36 AM (GMT)
Normal is overrated, anyway
sapphire - March 6, 2008 10:58 AM (GMT)
I hope your family has fully recovered :huggs:
New_Gurly - April 8, 2008 11:02 PM (GMT)
Well, I haven't changed anything in my ticker...cuz it hasn't changed any!!! :(
But I am hoping to push thru this wall and start to lose again. Biggest loser night is always good for me. I get on the treadmill and try to walk/jog the whole time it's on. I jog thru the commercials and let Bob and Jillian "speak" to me when I walk!!! Silly... I know! But I never said I wasn't silly!!
:joker:
shygemini - April 9, 2008 01:19 AM (GMT)
well, it is very good news that you have not gained any weight! :D
i know what you mean about the biggest loser and other shows like it..they really motivate me as well! :)
TeachX3 - April 9, 2008 02:38 AM (GMT)
I think that is an EXCELLENT habit to be in girl and I agree with Shy, good job not gaining!!
NicC - April 9, 2008 02:41 AM (GMT)
I think sometimes holding steady is good news. And I hear you about the workout - I try to schedule my TM workouts around "guilty" pleasure shows (like entertainment news etc) The other day I was exercising with Anderson Cooper coz he was hosting with Kelly Ripa (sure beat looking at Regis, lol) I watched BL tonight - those girls sure kicked butt!!!
New_Gurly - April 17, 2008 12:42 AM (GMT)
Thanks everyone. I hope to keep moving on the right track. Been so busy with work and my daughters after school activities. It leaves me so tired when I get home that I don't want to work out and when I get up in a.m. I keep hitting the snooze. I am hoping the weather here will start cooperating and I can get a good walk in on my lunch break.
NicC - April 17, 2008 01:04 AM (GMT)
Love your new Avatar! Hoping for good weather for you!!!
