5/26/07 well I managed to find the energy to go for a walk afterall. I walked to the store with my family. Its about 1 mile round trip. We stopped a couple times along the way to watch birds and then a snake:) It was nice.

Yay! A 1 mile walk is great. A snake hmm....hopefully a friendly one. I have never seen a snake in person.

Good onya Kat! Snake...hmm I haven't seen one of those up close and personal either! LOL I haven't even seen one at the zoo! None in NZ :P

I live right next to a protected wetland. It is all fenced off and there is a ton of tall grass, trees and a big body of water. We have snakes (non poisonous Gardners) that get up to 4 feet long and lots of birds (cranes,ducks,canadian geese, etc) We also have Nutrea which are basically a beaver with a rats tail.
The snake was in the hedges along the sidewalk and my hubby went on one side and spooked him out the other so we could see him. He was about 3 feet and really pretty. I am not scared of snakes but don't come near me with any kind of spider! I swear I will have a heartattack! I love living in this area cause I have such beautiful scenery to walk in. God has made wondorous creations!

THats very cool kat :) I'm also lucky to live next to a really lovely walk in my city as i live right by the river. Occasionaly we see animals coming out of the riverbank (as it is somewhat left natural with grasses and trees) but not too often. It is good that with all the development in cities they are at least keeping certain areas as preserves. It seems the more time that goes on the less natural areas are around.

5/27/07 BAD BAD BAD! :( NO exercise, was going to walk but it started raining so then I was going to use my glider and found out we were going to a bar b q and I needed to shower and get ready. Then I waited on my hubby anyway so I actually had time to exercise afterall! :wacko: I will do better today.

Snakes? LOL My boys are snake hounds... we live in the country and they have been studying and catching snakes since they were knee high to a grasshopper! :P My younger boy has always wanted to be a snake milker when he grew up!

Oh that's ok, one day of not exercising is not a big deal..just get in your exercise today! :)
Our weather has gone rainy again here so i suppose i'll be exercising inside only the next few days :(

well my girl pushups are not perfect. I don't go all the way down ,my nose is a few inches from the ground. It hurts my shoulder to go down all the way. but I can sure feel the burn in my arms so I know its doing something:)

i've never quite gotten the hang of doing exercises on the ball. Maybe someday!
As far as the pushups, you are doing great if you are only a few inches from the ground. If you really want a challenge, try doing tricep pushups. Instead of your elbows going out to the side, they have to go straight back (if that makes sense). When i did my fitness assessment at my gym tricep pushups were part of it, and i couldn't even do one! And i was on my knees!

I added to my exercise my calories for the day. I have another site that I log my food in so I don't want to take the time to re-log it all on this site, so I figure I will just log my cal's with my exercise here so I can keep track of how my calories are affecting my weight loss.

aaaaw thank you :) No I will only do what my body will allow:) I managed to get in my 50 crunches and 20 pushups! that Gas X medicine really helped! I ate spaghetti for dinner and no pain! YAY! Going to keep a log of how different foods are affecting me :) oh yes and my calories for today were 1631.

Great Job.
One question. Do you find the crunches easier on the ball, or more effective. I've never tried a ball and I want to add more exercises for my abs. Would you recommend the ball?

Cherri I think the ball is more difficult. You have a longer range of motion, you start from a leaning back position where as on the floor your flat on your back. I started out doing crunches on the floor and they were too easy for me. I switched to the ball and now its a challenge! The ball is great for many things because it requires balance which in turn strengthens you!

lol! thanks :D I don't have a routine on the ball but I really should. Right now Im happy where Im at but as I improve and build more stamina I will start doing more ball exercises:)

40 min walk, 60 crunches on ball 10 girl pushups.
Having a hard day today. Woke up and was missing my mom. A song came on that made me think of her and I just sobbed :( I am finding it hard to keep track of my calories the last few days and since I know I have been on track the last couple weeks I think I will go without for awhile. I know I stay within range during the day by the foods I choose so thats good enough for me right now.
