Title: NicC's Spring Weigh-Ins
NicC - March 20, 2008 12:20 PM (GMT)
This morning my weight was 200, almost back in one-der land. Great news since with all the stress food, water retention and diet soda I had seen as high as 210 one morning :spring:

LOL - today it is more like rolling we went to Chinese Buffet bc my ds's b-day is next week. I guess I did pretty well though. I'm sure I ate half of what I used to, actually refused to eat something I really didn't like and shared a pot of Chinese Green Tea with my 14 yr old dd instead of drinking pop. Now must stay on track till next week!

I did not weigh in today for the following reasons that usually drastically affect my weight:
1. I had intestinal cramps until about 3 or 4 am last night so I did not get sufficient sleep
2. In order to try and get rid of the cramps/gas I took 2 doses of ENO (high in salt) and drank ginger ale (more sodium)
shygemini - April 10, 2008 07:28 PM (GMT)
oh i'm sorry to hear you were not feeling well nic!
i think the same thing happens to me sometimes. I'm not sure what causes it or anything, but i can't do anything about it and i just have to wait it out.
TeachX3 - April 10, 2008 08:04 PM (GMT)
:huggs: Hope you feel better now Nic :huggs:
NicC - April 17, 2008 12:29 PM (GMT)
Weight stable most of the week - retaining water today - I went up about 4 lbs overnight and my hand was swollen... why always on weigh in day??? So I am leaving my ticker where it was as I think it reflects my "real" weight (going by yesterday's...)- maintaining for this week is not a bad thing since my ds's party was in there last weekend...I really want to see a drop next week though...
EDIT/Thought: If the the Vietnamese soup had MSG this would explain the water retention - always affects me in a bad way...
EDIT again - mystery solved - my ol' friend TOM just showed up for a visit...
shygemini - April 17, 2008 03:18 PM (GMT)
LOL oh tom, he was finished with me so he went on to visit you...what a guy!
NicC - April 17, 2008 03:19 PM (GMT)
Hee hee - can't wait to give him the boot...
TeachX3 - April 17, 2008 03:26 PM (GMT)
Weird how our schedules are so close to each other... we are like THE THREE MUSKETEERS :joker:
shygemini - April 17, 2008 08:30 PM (GMT)
they do say that women that spend alot of time with eachother tend to get their cycles at the same time..however i didn't think it would work over such a distance!
NicC - April 24, 2008 12:11 PM (GMT)
LOL Shy - I did not think it works over the internet either.
Still nothing happening with my weight - sigh... I think my body LIKES being at this weight! (I just wish it was liking it at 25 - 50 lbs less) SIGH...
shygemini - April 24, 2008 03:18 PM (GMT)
our body does have certain comfort zones...or we get into a pattern of exercise/diet that maintains ourselves at a weight..and in order to get down lower we need to change something up..
however i know you have been changing things up with the 'no s diet"...i guess just keep at it! :huggs:
TeachX3 - April 24, 2008 04:33 PM (GMT)
Keep on keeping on girl and just remember that even maintaining at your current weight is OMGosh a HUGE and FANTASTIC improvement over where you used to be in life!! :huggs:
sarahinparis - April 24, 2008 05:16 PM (GMT)
Hi Nic, just a word to encourage you - I think you've done fantastic losing over 75 lbs.
Sometimes it's not just our bodies but also our minds that get comfortable at a higher weight than the goal - at 199 you are a "normal" sized person in the US, and can probably find nice clothes pretty easily and feel socially acceptable. For me when I lost from 250 years ago I hovered around 195 for a really long time - because I was finally at an "acceptable" weight. It took me a while to be willing to kick it into gear to lose again from there... But eventually I did, and it worked.
Good luck.
NicC - May 16, 2008 12:59 PM (GMT)
Thank you so much Sarah - you have a good point. It has been very easy finding clothes these days and I am somewhat comfortable at this weight, but I feel I need to be fitter still and I definitely need to boost my nutrition again.
Today my weight was 200/201 still well within my fluctuations of the past 6 months. I actually hadn't weighed in over a week.
I was happy to see those numbers because I ate poorly all week. I am planning to eat my F/V today though to get back on track. I think I am afraid to lose the last 50 pounds because I know how hard it was to get to where I am, leaving me to question just how low my calories have to be and how much I have to exercise. I have to get over sabotaging myself by putting... Sigh...
