I did not know where to put this post since there is no Vegetable thread, I eat these for dinner alot.
Green Beans with Bacon and Onions 53 Calories a serving
4 1/2 cup serving
2 cups frozen green beans
1/4 cup Chopped Onions
1 bacon strip
1 tablespoon Butter- I use "I cant believe it's not butter"
In a sauce pan cook bacon(do not drain bacon grease) then add onions and butter. Cook on medium heat until the onions are soft. Next add the green beans, cover and cook until tender.
I love bacon and I have decide that bacon makes a better condiment instead of a main course. The bacon flavor makes these green beans wonderful. :bouncy:
Sounds very yummy. I think my family might like this recipe!
ok i read this recipe last night, and for some reason i dreamed i was cooking it
another good way of getting the bacon flavor in without the bacon itself is when you are cooking something in the oven, you put bacon strips on top (we do this with cabbage rolls). As the food cooks the flavors come together, and then you can simply remove the bacon if you don't wish to eat it!
Perfect spot for this recipe P2O ;) I'm not much for green beans, but I love bacon and onions  so, this sound perfect for me!!
