Well I know I am pretty new to the site but I thought I would just jump in and start a weigh-in thread for me.

I check my weight every morning. I know some people freak out if they do that but it works really well for me. I won't post about it everyday but a few times a week for sure.

I am starting here at 270 pounds. That is actually 20 down from my highest weight. It also seems to be a bit of a roadblock for me this past year, I go up and down but hardly ever below it. So that is my goal now, to get below the 270.

I am actually trying to give a big push over the same time span as my walking goal, now til Labour Day. I am hoping to lose 2 pounds a week but time will tell how well I do.

HI Lois - as you can see my starting weight was similar to yours. I've now been stuck on a plateau (195-205 ish up and down since October). I am hoping to get back to the 2 lbs a week too. So we will definitely be in this together! I think your walking goal will help getting you off to a good start!

Good job Lois, on the 20 already done, and the one you just added to it!

I've gone through periods with my weigh-ins. For a long time I weighed everyday but when that started stressing and depressing me (I'm a slow loser) I moved to weekly and even monthly. Right now I'm doing weekly, but I suspect I'll change it up now and then.

You have done so well thus far to already lose 20lbs...great job! I know it is hard and frustrating to get beyond a plateau. I was stuck around 220-244lbs for about a year...but then i gained back some pounds and i'm now sitting at a higher weight....so don't despair..consistency and persistence is the key.

I check my weight every morning too and find it definately helpfull.

Just trying to stay under 130lbs at the moment until I sort myself out...I need to get back into exercise which has been non existent for months!
