Title: I can hardly believe..
Description: I bought a tankini!

shygemini - May 5, 2008 10:37 PM (GMT)
Yep- i decided to treat myself with a new swimsuit this weekend as my old one is nearly 10 years old and um, slightly indecent on the bust... (it fits otherwise though...!). So i actually bought a two piece tankini suit..can you believe it?? I certainly can't...but it actually was quite flattering i think and made me look better than the one pieces..

I decided to get the 18 instead of the 16 as the tank didn't go down low enough for my liking in the 16 (i'm not about to show my stomach like the size 6 models!)...but i'm quite pleased with it and am hoping when it gets too big i can get it made smaller as it is quite cute 8)

It has plain black bottoms. THe tankini top is black with a flower design in light blue, and blue straps..and there is a tie in the middle (between the bust)..i really like it!

I just think it is a good step in my confidence level.

thank you nic and teach! yes, it was very fun..i felt um, sexy  There is just something about a 2 piece suit.

lois- thank you ! yes, i always figured i didn't quite have the body to wear one..but actually they are quite figure flattering (if you get the right cut for you!). I'll definately be wearing sun screen once it gets nice enough here to wear a bathing suit outside hehe

:D

Shy - you are right - the cut is very important. I am glad you found one you like.

The two piece ones don't flatter me (I've tried! ) and they don't go with water aerobics. Speaking of which I need to e-mail my friend to see when she's going back, now that the weather is warmer I want to go (plus I just bought a one piece suit with swimming/water aerobics in mind - my pretty one from last year is really nice but the beads and skirt bop me in the face during water aerobics, plus I don't want the chlorine to wreak it before I head to the beach this summer).

How exciting when you find a swim suit that looks good on you!!

nic- good point about the water aerobics! i did notitce my top going up slightly at times so i suppose that is something to consider lol! i still can't believe my boyfriend was carrying me around the pool..i always thought i was uncarriable   it was pretty fun tho

:bouncy:

cherri- thanks!
