Title: Back from Honeymoon!!
Description: But wish we were back in Dominican Rep.

Jaymison - May 10, 2008 06:03 PM (GMT)
We are back from our honeymoon at the Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus, Bayahibe, La Romana Dominican Republic.

We did have a blast scuba diving :)

I don't have any of the underwater pictures back yet.. took 6 cameras :)

so total. we took 2400 digital pictures, 6 underwater camera's with 27 pictures each, and approximately 45 digicam video's. :)

and STILL Had time to have a phenomenal time!! the vacation was unreal. Paradise is exactly where we were. I cannot recommend this place enough. We will be returning, many many times!

Here are a (few) pictures...

Our first day at the resort. This was taken at the beach, near the lighthouse beach bar. I was standing on Coral Reef that has turned to rock, it is no longer submerged in the Caribbean Sea.

A photo of the Lighthouse Beach Bar. The sea was crystal clear, was like swimming in a pool :) the fish were amazing as well :). BTW there were alot of topless sunbathers. I will not post any of that, as it is considered pornography. But I do have quite a few pictures :) heh heh

Kimberly and I at the beach bar. I was becoming a lush, drinking those fufu fruity drinks overflowing with Dominican rum :). My favorite for the trip - Pina Colada's :)

This was a beach bar-b-cue of sorts :). The meal consisted of lobster, prawns, clams, oysters, squid, some type of fish, straight macaroni, a tomato sauce with Caribbean seasonings, probably other things as well heh heh I ate two plates!

Kimberly and I on our way to the Gourmet restaurant. Since we were on the 7 day trip, we were able to eat at the specialty restaurants 3 times. the rest of the time we ate at the buffet :). This particular night, we went to The Colonial and I ate broiled lobster tail and Kimberly had some Chicken dish. I could post the pictures of the meal, it was 5 star.

Figure you all need to see my fat butt laying out on the beach. This is the good life I gotta tell ya. I did get a little burnt :p but it was sooo darn worth it :)

Catalina Island. This is an island South of the Dominican Republic. Kimberly and I took a charter to it, had lunch, did some snorkeling and enjoyed the sun. I took quite a few pictures here as well :). The island has quite a history with pirates, there was a sign posted with a history. As it is now, the island is a national park for the Dominican Republic.

The pool bar. We only swam in the pool one time. Imagine that huh.. heh heh. The beach is where it's at, I don't mind the sand and the ocean water was warm and clear. I could snorkel right off the beach at the coral reef.

Another dinner reservation, this time at the Japanese restaurant, La Geisha. I thought these were nice pictures of us, so decided to post :)

Taken just outside of our room, in the direction of the pool and beach. The hotel grounds are immaculate.

Kimberly and I went scuba diving. This is us with our instructor, Stefan. We did a 50 minute dive off the coast of Bayahibe on natural coral reef. Amazing is one word to describe it, I used two underwater cameras here.

Snorkeling at Catalina Island. There was a 30' rock bluff overlooking the bay. Under this bluff was a reef with some beautiful wildlife. Kimberly was out with me some, but at the time of this picture, was on the beach photographing me and I was on my way in to prepare to leave the island.

The main pool with bar. There is actually 3 pools. The Main one is the largest, and of course has the bar. There is also one with a volleyball net and basketball hoops in it, and a third that is very shallow for smaller children.
