When my precious husband and I decided to get engaged, he gave me the most beautiful engagement ring I have ever seen... it was a three stone one, with the center diamond a 1/2 carat and the two outer stones each a 1/4, for a 1 carat total weight. Our wedding bands were matching... and they were gorgeous too. Well, we were not together more than a year and my engagement ring was stolen! I did not have it on, it was on my bathroom counter and there was a person who was visiting, and that is when it came up missing. A few months later, my husband lost his wedding band while taking care of the outside animals by way of giving them fresh straw. So, I ended up getting rid of my band too... some years later. I have since replaced my husbands band... he has a very manly titanium ring with cut out crosses in it, and he gets so many compliments! But, it has been over 12 years now, and I still have not had my set replaced. I have had odds and ends over the years (purchased from pawn shops) to fill in my finger, but not my permanent set, as we just could not afford it. HERE IS THE GOOD PART!! This tax season, my sweet, wonderful husband set aside enough money for me to get a new ring!!! AND I GOT ONE!! It is 1.25 carat total weight... the center stone is 3/4 and the outer stones equal a 1/2 ... I am so crazy excited. We found it through an Estate Broker, it is IGI certified and a 'one of a kind'... they think it was custom made for the lady of the Estate that it came from!! I don't have it yet, it will be a few days before it gets here... and let me tell you, it is ALL I have been thinking of! LOL... this has been one great way to keep my mind off of food, DIAMONDS!
