Okay, so last week was my first week back to trying to lose my flub. I exercised Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday....cardio only, total of 4 hours and 35 minutes (every minute counts!!) I know that I have to do weights, but I figured it was a good place to start..... Today I continued with the cardio.....am planning on doing weights starting on Wednesday with my sister...........hopefully it will pan out...... So, for this week, this is my exercise as follows: Monday - 65 minutes on the Elliptical |

Thanks Guys! This week was a bit of a bummer as Toronto got a 33cm snowfall Wednesday night/Thursday, so I didn't go to the gym on those days. I did go a couple of days though: For this week, my exercise is as follows: Monday: 65 minutes on the Elliptical (PM) Tuesday: 60 minutes on the CrossRamp (AM) Wednesday: None Thursday: None Friday: 60 minutes on the Elliptical (AM) I'm hoping to go to the gym tomorrow morning, and if I can manage it, possibly on Sunday morning, but I am not holding my breath in regards to Sunday as the Salsa class is at 9:00am! Good Luck with getting to the gym this weekend guys, or exercising in general - I find it easier going after work throughout the week.......I've tried early morning workouts, and they just don't seem to work out for me (I can barely get up for work as it is, and as in the case on Tuesday, I was tired all day long after my workout prior to going in to work!) I'm hoping to try and do some weights next week with my sister.....I really don't like doing them alone - especially when I'm just starting out again! Have a great weekend everyone! |

I know, I know! I'm going to try and make it a priority on Monday to do weights.....today I did NOT feel like going to the gym AT ALL! I came down here and hung out a bit on the forum to try and get motivated.....then I thought I'll do an exercise tape at home (I only have Sweatin' To The Oldies with Richard Simmons on VHS! ha!) but then my parents came home and I didn't really feel like exercising with them around......so I got dressed and went to the gym! I was there for 60 minutes on the CrossRamp......not bad......tomorrow morning at 9am is a Cardio Salsa class I wanna go to, but I'm afraid I might not get up early enough!!! I hope I do........... |

KiKi you are doing really great. Maybe you should buy some weights to have around the house. They are pretty cheap. At first 5 lbs. should work. I hate doing weights at the gym. |

Just wanted to add that I like using the pilates resistance bands better than weights - easier to store too. Mine came with a DVD. |

those resistance bands i think are a great option if you are buying weights to use at home..since you can adjust the resistance simply by holding hands closer together or further apart
I have some weights at home but admitedly i don't use them very much..but i'm the type of person who likes exercising in classes. B) |
