Princess and Nic's Buddy Challenge

Hi everyone Princess2one and I have decided to be nutritional buddies for a few weeks since we have similar goal dates for our current goal (my vacation starts August 14 and P2O's son goes back to school on August 19)

Our goals are as follows:

1. Eat breakfast every day
2. Drink water 1.5 L (6 cups) minimum
3. Limit snacks - maximum 3, no more than 200 cal each

We'll be checking in starting tomorrow. (Princess please let me know if you want to tweak any of the goals)
1.5 lbs a week will get me to my goal weight by Jan 1 next year!!!

First check in day - July 22
Nic

BF :) (2 slices ww toast with almond butter and fruit spread, coffee with milk)
snack 1- 7 almond/cinnamon cookies from Ikea (165 cal)

snack 2 - 1 nectarine (?), 3 mini dark chocolate bars (120 cal) + 3 bites of stuff at M&M meatshop but I avoided the cream puff and did not have a Twisted Frosty from Wendys like I bought my 6 yr old for her special treat (siblings are away this week) so I AVOIDED at least 600 cal!!!

Water: so far 1.5 L+

no snack #3 because I ended up with work! (Yippee!)

I too got breakfast in today: 1oz. Honey Wheat Pretzels, 1/2 cup mandarin oranges.

Nic, how did you do today?

I did OK. 20mins. Strenght Training, 1.5 liters of water and 1 snack, but it was a piece of Chocolate Cake so not good calories wise and I did eat breakfast, a piece of garlic toast, I got up at noon.

For July 23 I managed breakfast and a bit of walking. Ended up working (with dd at home) and the computer wasn't working like I wanted it too so I didn't get to sleep until 5 am this morning. Our pets also had to go to the vet so supper was delayed. I ate a big chocolate bar yesterday (500+ cal) - half was after midnight (but then I didn't get to sleep until 5 so technically I didn't eat 4 hours within bedtime...)

July 24 - breakfast - yes, will try to better on water and snacks today.
Definitely doing better on water...

OK - swamped with work
Breakfast - check
snacks - trying to keep the total below 600 today!
water - working on it - filled my bottle a little late but I might still make it...will keep it beside the computer.

Nice job on the no snack and eating some breakfast!

still busy with work but
1 - ate breakfast
2 - took some proofreading with me when dd had swimming lessons (she wanted MOMMY there)
3- took dog for med walk
4 - only 1 glass of water - I keep forgetting to bring the bottle with me, and some Perrier
5 - snacks ok today - not sure of total but definitely no binges
1.5 lbs a week will get me to my goal weight by Jan 1 next year!!!

I had breakfast
cheated on water (Crystal Light - I know bad fake sweetner)
ok on snacks - no late ones but I did have a big afternoon one after I took my 6 yr old swimming.

Monday:
I got in Breakfast and 2 liters of water.
On Sunday I made my kids mini Cherry Pies and I was so proud that I did not eat them. Then last night, I had got a big bowl of Vanilla Ice Cream and poured the left over Cherry pie filling on top and it was great...but the calories. :( So I'm trying hard today to keep my snacks under control.

Well the good news is that the ice cream is probably healthier than the pie crust, nutritionally speaking.
BF - doing well
Still drinking water with "additives" though
Snacks continue to be hard but I've been doing better in the evenings even when I have work to do.
1.5 lbs a week will get me to my goal weight by Jan 1 next year!!!

So far today
BF - check
Water - 1.5 L (nothing added!)
snacks - watermelon - good choice
dark chocolate kissables - not great (although technically these were dessert at lunch not a snack...)
pistachios- good choice
frozen cherries
banana with almond butter - good choice

Bought licorice (which I don't like) for one of the short (5 hr) road trip treats for this weekend - so dh and the kids will eat it but I won't!

Snacks: :( I just could not get full today, I had mostly healthy snacks (Yogurt, Bananas, low-fat pudding) I just had so many.
