5 Day eat clean challenge

I have only 5 days until we go on a road trip/camping so I am pledging to eat clean for 5 days! Whole grain, veggies, fruit, less fat, no soda, more water, more green tea, one serving, smaller portions, no junk. I'll be logging everything I eat in this thread. I will weigh in Monday before we leave.

Day 1 - whole grain cereal with soy milk, coffee with skim milk powder
crunchy Quaker Oat bar pack (130 cal), apple, 2 small wonder+ fajita shells (200) with
grated cheese, 2 thin slices of deli meat (80) and salsa, about 1/4 mango (the stuff around the pit)
cruchy quaker bar pack, apple sauce (unsweetened), some nuts (cracked out of the shell), a couple of tablespoons of canned mandarin, smoked herring, supper will be: hamburger (made from scratch) with portabello mushrooms, onions, coleslaw and whole grain bread with grated melted cheese
yoghurt

You can do this Nic, you are stronger than the desire for unhealthy foods, i.e. sodas, fats, sugars! :cheer: Sounds like this is a NO treat 5 day challenge... you can do this!! :cheer: You can go without treats for only 5 days... be strong, be tough and take control!! :cheer: Fill your water bottle first thing in the morning, carry that baby around with you all day! :cheer: I sure hope the BEST for you on this challenge girl, keep your focus!! :cheer: I will be watching every morsel of food you put into your mouth!! :lol: GO NIC!

Ok Day 1 went fairly well but I have to watch portion sizes and snacks (dh made those hamburgers way to big but they were good!)

Day 2 - Breakfast: 2 slices whole grain bread (180), rosehip jam, coffee/m
Snack: yoghurt, coffee/m,
Lunch: cucumber slices with low cal honey dijon dressing, smoked herring (the real salt problem! about 180 cal), pizza (500 cal)
afternoon snacks - yoghurt x 2, a few nuts (from shell)
supper: 3 tacos with lean ground beef, lettuce, cheese, salsa, some extra cheese and watermelon for dessert

GOAL: FORGO ALL EVENING SNACKS BUT HAVE SOME HERBAL OR GREEN TEA INSTEAD.

caved a little on the snack had 2 real fruit/white tea frozen pops (50 cal each) - nice treat without really cheating!

Good part - I've been drinking more Herbal, Green Tea and (lemon) water

Day 3 -BF: wg bread with jam, coffee/m, yoghurt
snack: mini salad with spritzer dressing (sample at grocery store), coffee/m (sample at Walmart)
Lunch: pistachios, baby carrots, ww bun with one slice meat, 3 slices of cheese, mustard, peach/white tea frozen popx2
Snacks: PB, banana, gb, watermelon
Supper: BBQ chicken breast, ww bun, carrots, potato salad (store bought - chose the one with less calories/serving), bbq sauce
snack: pistachios, decaf/m

Day 4 - granola bar/coffee/m (ran out the door)
resisted all cookies etc at church fellowship
came home very hungry so I ate 2 slim fast snack bars
Lunch: scrambled eggs/bacon/1 slc wg bread
3 peach/white tea freezy pops (it was sticky out)
loads of water
3 smoked herring (I don't think I'll buy these again...way to salty)
Supper: tabouli/salad/chicken 5 cubes/beef 4 cubes/0.5 pita/a bit of hummus/ a few fries/yoghurt garlic sauce/pickled radish/1 grape leaf roll

Evening snack:2 yoghurts (after nap - needed something to calm my digestive tract..)
some leftover meat from supper

Guess I miscounted day 5 is a travel day - I will try to stick to healthy stuff but will allow myself the one can of diet soda that has been tempting me all week and have a few treats...I'll be missing till Friday night...
