I have been noticing everyone's weight ticker and I think it is such a great idea. I have set mine up on the website, but I can't figure out how to get it into my signature. Can someone give me step by step instructions (in terms a 5 year old can understand, I'm not good at this :D )?

:thanx:

I have a question...

Is there anyway that we can have our own F4LF weight tickers that we can update somehow here on this site. I don't know if I am doing something wrong but it seems that i have to create a new ticker everytime i go to TF. It would be awesome to have a tab where you could enter your weigh-ins that would keep track of the data, maybe with a graph and a few ticker choices that would automatically update? It would be awesome to see how much weight we have all lost as a group as well. I know EP has this but I'm not computer savy so I don't know if it would be difficult and time intensive.

Ok, I have found a ticker program that I can install on our website, however it is $60 and I do not have the money right now to purchase the software. I have the info saved and I will work on getting this implemented as it will be very cool to have our own F4LF ticker! If anyone would like to donate to help in this process, please use the donation button at the bottom of the page, thanks!

OMGosh, there is no solicitation Jaxx, that was not my intention at all :huggs: I hope everyone knows that!

I am planning on buying it, donations or not, I just don't have the funds right now LOL That was the cheapest one I found, most run between $300 to $500 with one other at $180.00! WOW I did not even know such a program existed, but I am so thankful I found one for only $60! LOL Anyhow, I will have this asaic for our site!

hi jaxx-

if you are using tickerfactory, you should definitely be able to just update your ticker each time you go. Do you make a pin number when you make your tickers? What i did was to email myself (bookmarking works too) the url of the page when i have finished making my ticker, then i just go back there each time and sign in so i can change whatever i need to.

EDIT: I forgot, since on this new forum we can have clickable tickers, i just made mine clickable, so i just have to click on the ticker and that takes me to the site where i can update it :) I just have to sign in each time with my pin.

Shy...Thanks for the info. I have been using putting in a pin, but now that I can just click on the ticker I'm sure that it will solve all the issues. I need it idiot proof

Teach...:huggs: I definitly did not think you were soliciting!!!! I have been wanting to donate for some time now and now I just have something to donate towards!!! Please don't think that i thought that at all. I was just excited!

Jaxx, in order to just be able to click on your ticker, you need to replace the current bbcode with the new one at the tickerfactory site. Just log in to your account at tickerfactory and copy the BBCode. Remove the current code from your sig and replace that with the new code. Shy has made a wonderful and easy detailed *How To* post for everyone HERE. :)

Hi Teach,

Are the username and password for the ticker the same as for the forum? I ask because I used the same ones and I got an "Incorrect username or password" message when I used the same ones.

Thanks.

Hi Sapphire  Nope... we gotta follow the instructions on the ticker site (no logging in, create ticker first) and at the end you will receive a system generated username that you must use, but you do get to choose your password on the last step... One needs to log in only for updating the weight loss ticker... a username/password is not needed for any other type of ticker. Let me know if you need anything else! :D

:) It is ok Sapphire, NP! I just tweaked the Ticker Site, I hope the instructions are easier to see and follow now :)

Jaxx (and everyone), I have found when using our F4LF Ticker, that when I go update my weight, I must choose the background and slider over again (go back to step one, then two before I can put it my new weight information) it keeps my weight info, but not the ticker style for some reason. I am so sorry, I know that is a hassle, but I cannot figure out a way to 'fix' it. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on that for when you go to update your info! :)
