Now that I'm back from camping (and eating poorly) - I am challenging myself (and my family) to eat lots of green and unprocessed food for the next 6 weeks when we go for our vacation!
1.5 lbs a week will get me to my goal weight by Jan 1 next year!!!

NicC -that is a great one. My family goes camping a lot too. I always feel like I eat ok (never as good as home!) but then when I get home to my scale- it says otherwise. Do you have this same problem? I wondered if I am not drinking enough water? The last two times we have went I was sure to bring lots of fresh fruit and veggies and for some reason I was still up a couple pounds when we came home. We went hiking a lot and biking.????

Where is your favorite place to camp??

LOL - now to go shopping - our fridge is empty since we were away since Monday. New Gurly - I agree maybe not drinking enough water. Exercise was enough (playing in water, walking up and down dunes, even going to bathroom was a 10 min round trip). We were camping on Lake Huron. Thanks Cherriterri!

Camping is so much fun... I have not been for years though :( This is an awesome goal... swimsuits tend to make us try even harder, LOL... what I do is when I have a goal for the day I will be wearing my suit, I try it on and look at myself full mirror to actually visually see what I need to accomplish  helps a bit in the motivation department!

LOL Teach - great idea - maybe I should put on an extra small suit to really point out the issues.
We finally went shopping - bought fruit (fresh and frozen), veggies, cottage cheese, yoghurt etc.

Sounds great, and best of luck living the healthy life for the next few weeks! You bought some great foods that should help you accomplish your goals.

And it is way too difficult to eat well when camping ;) Especially when one brings along a bush pie maker. Oh my. Hopefully you know what i am talking about...makes delicious foods.

Ah-ha...it IS the same. They are so good. I try to pig out on veggies on the nights that we are making pizza pies...then I am full of the good stuff before the "good" stuff comes out!!
