I decided to start a brand new diary, and i will probably close my old thread (i haven't done that, but i think it makes it still available to read but not to post on?). I am learning alot of interesting things in my nutrition class and i want to start applying them to my own diet.

So, i shall be posting at the end of the day once i've eaten everything for the day- that seems the most efficient way. I think it will also stop me from eating so much after supper ;)

For now i'm just planning on logging foods and not worrying so much about numbers. I think getting so worked up about numbers just causes alot of unnecessary stress.

Yes Shy you can close the old one, no posts will be able to be made but it will still be readable :) I cannot wait to learn of the nutritional knowledge you have been learning!!

I'm feeling like i might forget by later on tonight so:

Foods in the food groups:

Peach (not a good peach again, they send the crappy peaches to saskatchewan :( )
1 cup vanilla soy milk

Oatmeal- 2/3 cup dry
Apple- 1 medium

Foods not in the food groups:

Hi all!

Wow, it is so much more work running a household than i thought it would be (silly me). I guess i didn't realize how much time everything takes. But i am starting to find a balance, i do cooking and laundry inbetween studying : )

I have been trying to cook healthy suppers. I made a couple quite nice ones. One night i made:

Broiled chicken with spices (oregano, thyme, salt and pepper)
Broccoli cheese potato cassrole (quite good!)

And another:

Broiled sole with spices (salt, pepper, oregano, thyme,
Herbed wild rice cooked in chicken broth (i added rosemary, thyme and oregano i believe)

Steamed brocolli with a bit of cheese on top

Tonight i am making:

HAMBURGER-PASTA-BROCCOLI CASSEROLE

I'll post the recipe if it is any good ;)
