Hi all,

I was wondering if anybody was interested in a summer challenge starting on July 1st and going until August 31st with the same rules as the March Madness challenge?

I know I need some motivation to get moving a bit more and I am thinking this just might be the key!

I'm in. I cannot lose the last 5 pounds with diet alone, I must step up the exercise. I know I cannot 'win' the challenge due to the MS and that I am at such a lower level of fitness than you guys, but I can at least work myself to my own personal best.

My Goal... NO to TOXINS: chemicals, artificial colors & flavors, preservatives, additives, man made (lab created) 'foods', GMO's, pesticides, added hormones, antibiotics, etc... and YES to ORGANIC: whole, fresh & pure natural living!

Ok, so far we have myself, Nic, Joyful and Teach in on this one. The challenge starts soon so I thought I would post the rules!

1 point per day for exercise
1 point for each 15 mins of exercise
1 point per day for drinking 1.5 litres of water

If anybody has any other suggestions for points, please add them.

The challenge will run from 1 July 09 to 31 August 09 and the participant with the most points gets the title!!

It would be great if more people wanted to join us, it will be very exciting!! :)

Great P2O!!

Nic, I thought the water would be a good way for someone to get points even if they could not do exercise daily. Plus it is good for you!! :)

I'm too busy running around  being bad to start now

Seriously, I have been jumping on the Mill every now and again throughout the day... it is only 5 min here and there, but it is making me realize the large piece of metal in my living room is more than decoration ;)

LOL Teach.. That was cute. Yep, you are suppose to use that puppy... I have been walking 30 minutes a day. Of course out here in the boonies, it is up one hill and then up another one.. Ugggg It took me almost two weeks to get up to 30 minutes. But still chugging along. Seems to be a little easier now. :D

:danceparty: Only one more day!!!

Does anyone already have there workout planned? Sometimes it helps me to put it in writing. So for tomorrow: 1 mile walk, with pull-ups, push-ups, and chair dips in the park with my kids. 8)

Thank You Joyful!! Still walking here. But not like you girls. You all ROCK! I am walking a little longer now seems like. It is getting easier and maybe faster seems like. So walking about 45 minutes now in the mornings. Sometimes Hubby wants to walk at night.. and we will go then too. Not too often. But when he wants to I will go too. So that is a plus for me. LoL

Ok girls, I am going to try and do this. I know I can drink water.. and a little exercise is gonna be so good for me. So will try and do this challenge. :)

This past week I have been walking a min. of 3 miles daily. :happydance: And I want to continue & try to expand on the time & pace. However, on the first day of our exercise challenge I am getting up at the crack of dawn & going to the berry farm for the day & pick fresh field blueberries & blackberries, etc. :eathealthy: So no time for a morning walk :( & picking berries is somewhat active, but I don't know how I should count for the challenge. What do you think?
