I've decided I need this if I want to go back to losing serious weight so come tomorrow I will start tracking food as well as exercise. Posting all foods will be time dependent but I will definitely track calories... |

2 flax seed raisin muffins 180 each = 360 (12 g of fiber) coffee with milk 40 strawberry and yoghurt optimum cereal 170 cal (7 g fiber) 1/2 cup plain soy milk 50 slimquick powder (blend of 5 g protein, 5 g fiber + folic acid, ginseng and chromium) 40 cal large apple 120 coffee with milk 30 (smaller than my usual -friend brought it over) a bit of pork (from tonights supper) about 100 cal another muffin 180 funbites (all fruit) 60 homemade stew (pork roast, veggies incl cauliflower, quinoa and flavoring sauce) 1 bowl lets say 500 (average for stew from experience) laughing cow cheese 105 Frozen fruit plus veggie juice (no sugar added) 100 Total 1855 and feeling very stuffed I think later I will make some tea and watch the Biggest Loser. (I don't know if anyone watched the "Where are they now episode but what almost made me cry is what Bob said to Erik who had gained most of his weight back - segments starts around 24 min http://www.tvgrapevine.com/index.php?option=com_hwdvideoshare&task=viewvideo&Itemid=55&video_id=116 ) Here is the synopsis from the tvgrapevine website: Bob has the difficult task of confronting one of his favorites, Erik, Season 3 winner, who has put all the weight he lost, back on (their words not mine. If my calculations are correct, Erik has gained 175 pounds back of the 214 pounds he lost.) Erik arrived at 407 and won the finale at 193 pounds. He now weighs 368. Bob wants to know what is going on and Erik responds that he is used to making Bob feel proud, and so he is feeling a little uncomfortable telling him where he was at for fear of disappointing him. Bob is not disappointed, he understands how hard it is - it's his job! He knows it is a struggle and he wanted to see Erik to let him know it is going to be ok. Bob tells him he has to find a balance, he can't do the extreme again, he must find a day-to-day life that will work for him. Bob once again reassures him that it will be ok and they head to the gym where Erik normally does his workouts boxing. Erik says he will lose the weight again and maintain it this time. Bob invites Erik to the Season 9 Finale to weigh-in once again. NicC: Makes me want to write to Erik and tell him that I totally get it ... Edited by NicC, Jan 5 2010, 09:19 PM.
