As long as you enjoyed yourself this last weekend, and the food you ate, i wouldn't worry about the gain at all! The more important thing is that you let yourself have fun and eat what you want once in awhile, without it affecting your overall goals and progress. One pound is nothing, it will be gone and take a friend with it next week i bet :)

Huggs thanks girls... considering all the 'fun' I had this past weekend, pizza, ice cream, brats, roasted marshmallows, a couple of Bud Lights, etc... I can't be too upset! But I SURE DO APPRECIATE you gals and your support!! :D

The pounds fought back and won. :P Now in all fairness, I *knew* this was going to happen. I, yes let me repeat that for my own benefit... *I* did not do enough this past week to see a positive result today. SO, without further ado, today's official weigh in is: 156.6 I am actually surprised that I did not gain. I KNOW what I have to do, eat right and EXERCISE... so WHY, WHY WHY did I not do that this past week?? Maybe two or three days total were good ones. I have no one to blame but myself and that is exactly what I plan to do. I will not just say, "oh well, I'll do better next time" NO I must get it into my head that I cannot continue to slack off, there are no true excuses of why I do it and it does nothing to help me succeed. I must strive harder to be successful in this healthy lifestyle! There. Now I have properly given myself a kick in the rear. It is a new day and it is gonna be a good one! :HappyDance:

I hear you Teach, I've had more than a few of those weeks myself, you can't help but get stale when you've been on the programme for a while. The truth is you had a normal maintaining week - not much wrong with that in my book :D

Hang in there and have a wee look at your ticker and be very pleased with yourself ^_^

good luck with this week teach!

in a way i think it is a good sign that if you don't do enough during the week, your weight stays the same. That means you are eating the right amount and exercising the right amount.

Make some goals for this week, i personally wouldn't make them pound related, but exercise and food related, and stick to them, and get things going in the right way again :)

That's great that you did not gain Teach. I think it is important to learn that if you have a week where you slack you are able to maintain your weight too.

I agree with Shy, make some goals for yourself. I find this gives me more motivation during the week.

It's awesome that you didn't gain teach! Not gaining is always a victory in my book...especially when we know that we really could have done better ;) You'll get 'em next week!

:) you are welcome, and i am glad you liked my suggestion. I have just found that it is more beneficial to make goals that encourage a healthy lifestyle rather then focusing on the scale...its not to say you aren't trying to lose weight of course but just a shift in focus B)

... and once again, for three straight weeks in a row... drum roll please...

:bouncy: 156.6 :bouncy:

Gee, I seem to be awful 'OK' with this. Fact is, I have appreciated the intelligence and postings of some of our fellow members who have been at this lifestyle for a long time. Yes, I want to weigh less. But I realize I have the rest of my life, day by day, to strive to be healthy and I do *not* need to put any undo pressure on myself t make that scale show what I want it to. So... I will just keep on living and keep on striving and maybe next week I will see a drop. Thing is, heehee, I'm like SO CLOSE to the 25 pound mark, and in all honesty, part of me can't wait until I hit it. But when I think about it, my highest weight was 191, so I have actually lost a total of 35 pounds! LOL, yep, whatever gets me through the day.

something i've noticed with my own weight loss teach, and not sure whether it is somewhat a subsconscious self sabotague or what, but when i get close to a landmark weight the weight seems to stall for awhile before it goes below that weight. I have no idea why, just one of those things :arghhh:

I tended to stall for 3 weeks before i dropped so you are due for a loss next week. :cheer:

I totally agree with you, Teach. Don't worry, hopefully you'll see a loss next week. :)
