HEALTHY TIP:
Diet soda may have no calories, but it contains artificial sweetener, which actually will make us hungrier
because when the body gets ready to digest the 'carbohydrates', it finds there are none. This leads to a desire to eat more.

Just looking for a place to post everything in one place and figured this spot might be ok as this will be my personal daily dose of motivation

I've been having difficulties staying motivated, partly due to work and school, but also due in part to my inability to schedule myself properly. So tomorrow will be Day 1 and I will post my daily stuff here, which will also give me some accountability ;)

I only have a little over a month until I graduate!! :danceparty: And so school has become increasingly more intense as my willingness to stay focused has continually been decreasing. I've got a couple of hectic weeks ahead and I know that the only way that I will be able to handle them is by treating myself well and exercising. I am also hoping that exercising will relieve some of the anxiety I have about my future and the big life decisions that I am going to be making over the next few months...more about that later

Day 1

1. get 7-8 hours of sleep. That means asleep around 12 and up no later than 8
2. gym time-cardio routine
3. EAT BREAKFAST
4. Work 12-6 and hit subway for lunch
5. Cook Dinner -fish, carrots, new potato
6. School project with group
7. in bed by 11
8. 96 oz of water

Thanks ladies!

Well Day 1 went well. I have accomplished everything except the gym :( and water, but will get my water intake by the end of tonight. I ate well today, but only took in about 1600 calories. I think I am going to shoot for anywhere in between 1500 and 2000. This way it is not so obsessive, but I am still in a healthy range as my tendency is to undereat. I know that once i get my metabolism rolling, I will be hungry more often and that will help speed things along.

Day 2

1. 8 hours of sleep
2. pack lunch for work tomorrow
3. Work
4. Gym
5. School
6. Water
7. Breakfast

So I've been doing quite well lately. I have been hitting the majority of my goals on a daily basis as they don't change too much from day to day. I would like to concentrate a bit harder on my water intake as I have been having a hard time hitting 96 oz lately. I have however traded in my regular soda for diet so I guess that is going well.

I'm planning on weighing in this week which is a bit scary. I am not sure exactly where I am. I know that I put some pounds back on and am well above what my ticker is currently showing. I guess I just gotta get on the darn thing and open my eyes this time

This weeks plan:

Exercise: Sun, Tues, Thurs, Friday or Sat (or both if i feel up to it)
Bring lunch 5 times this week.
Cook dinner 5 times this week.

On another note...I absolutely can not believe that I graduate in less than a month. Every day I get more excited and every day more work piles up! :bouncy:

Good job Jaxx! I think I will run into the same challanges when I start school. I am looking exercise as a way to de-stress so maybe that will help. I know school will be stressful so maybe my exercise will actaully increase! :happydance:
God said it. I believe it. That settles it.

So I weighed in Thursday at 207lbs. I knew I was up as I had been eating badly and not exercising a bit. My goals this week are to go grocery shopping and prebag as much stuff as possible so I can grab and go in the morning. I got to the gym Thursday and plan to go tomorrow (Sunday), Monday, and Tuesday with my next weigh in being thursday. I also need to concentrate on my water intake and be as diligent about that as possible.

I guess my current challenge is to get under 200 lbs for my weigh -in on August 9th. That's three weeks from my initial weigh-in date and I hope is pretty doable being that it's just over 2 lbs a week.

I've begun scheduling everything including sleep and ecercise again and I hope that it will help like it has in the past.

So i weighed in thrusday at 205 so that was a 2 lb loss. I'm not sure if it will stay that way though as I have been at the library from 8 am - 2am eating the crappy stuff they have on campus. If I gain, I gain. Not much more I could do as i really feel like I did my best.

One week left!! :danceparty:

Thanks for all the encouragement guys!

Well i did it! I got everything done and walked across the sxtage friday night! My girl friends and I were all smiles of course and then the whole weekend was spent with my family and friends at the beach! It was the first time in 7 years that I had taken a vacation lol. We partied and had pina coladas by the pool and everything.

Weight wise I just had to take a break. My best friend Jess whom was in one of my classes that was keeping us at the library from dawn till dusk said this:
"They told us abut the freshman 15...but failed to mention the 20 pounds you
gain during the last 2 weeks before you graduate!"

Oh how true! I didn't gain 20 but definitly put myself back up there. I plan on weighing in thursday like normal, but I'm expecting to be back up over 210. No worries though as I did my best with the pizza and crap that was the only things available at school.

My personal gaols this week are to set new goals for myself personally, spiritually, monetarily etc. School had been my goal for so long that I now need a new start!

Thanks you guys! I weighed in yesterday at 208.8 and then this morning at 206.8. I know i didn't loose 2 lbs overnight, but most likely its all water and my body getting rid of all the crap in my system as I started eating well again yesterday and adjusting itself. Point here for me is that I basically maintained while eating like a little oinker  Which to me is absolutely wonderful!! :happydance:

I'm tracking my daily weight with the google tracker (thanks shy) and will use my thursday morning weigh-in for my tracker here. I'm not going to pay too much attention to my daily weight, just the overall moving average like the tracker says. It makes sense to me as it can be a daily motivater and then my weigh-in on thursday will be my recorded number.

Off to the grocery store to stock up my fridge! Have a great day everyone! You guys ROCK!!!

Back to the basics!

I went to the store yesterday and got lots of yummy veggies and fruits and pre bagged everything for a quick grab.

This week I want to concentrate on my water intake. I have realized that my water intake is no where near what it used to be and I feel that this is just as important as anything else, especially with the crazy heat we've been having down here lately. My goal is 8-10 glasses a day for this week, and eventually getting back up to the gallon I was drinking before.

I will continue to eat healthy this week and start counting calories soon.
