Packed lunch ideas

I was wondering what ideas we might be able to come up with for interesting, healthy packed lunches.

Personally i am interested in lunches which don't require any reheating as its a pain to get to the nearest microwave, not to mention a long line up.

Any ideas are welcome!

:) My favorite sack lunch is two half peanut butter sandwiches on whole wheat, veggie crisps, baby carrots, an apple and 2% white milk! :D

No, they are like potato chips, but made from veggies. They are a blend of rice, potato and vegetables. The brand name is: Flat Earth *IMPOSSIBLY GOOD* Baked Veggie Crisps and they have 1/2 Serving of Real Vegetables in Every Ounce! OH and they taste, MMM good!

OHHHHHHHH Ill tell you what my favorite is... Fresh Light Oatmeal or Light Wheat bread and the following:

fresh thick slice of tomato (must be firm)
Fresh sliced cucumbers with the skin
1 thin slice of red onion
alfalfa sprouts
baby spinach leaves
fresh cooked tuna that has chilled
dijon mustard

Let me just say, amazing, tasty and fresh tuna is so much better than canned... the taste is just wonderful! :D

that sounds really good! do you leave the tomato in the sandwich? i always worry about veggies getting soggy in sandwiches if i pack them in there in the morning...

i've never in my life had a real tunafish..just canned!

This is what my husband does for tasty sandwiches:

Take ww pita bread - separate into two circles (rather than pockets) and use to make rolled sandwiches. You could use cooked leftover chicken breast, sandwich meat, egg etc. , some lettuce, other thinly sliced veggies etc, with a low cal dressing of your choice - the possibilities are endless. Tuck the ends in burrito style to keep things neat.

ohhhh nonononono.... veggies are always packed separately, and I cut the tomato right before making the sandwich... If the tomato isnt firm, it doesnt go on my sandwich!
