At least you didn't go under 1200 so I think you are fine (except for the goal you set). 40 C is sooo hot, I'd probably end up in bed with Heat Stroke - so I think drinking the water is the most important thing - you totally did the right thing. |

hi flowerfluff: As you gals know, i'll be the first one in line to advocate not starving yourself when losing weight, eating enough calories for your exercise level etc. However, i really think we need to listen to our body. If eating too much is actually making you ill, this is not a good thing. Really when it is so hot out i'd agree and say you should j ust be making sure to drink lots of water. Maybe you could make yourself some fruit smoothies or something ? If you want to get the calories up there, i guess the key is to eat high calorie but healthy foods (nuts, dried fruit etc). Anyway i think you are doing really good considering how hot it is.

Thanks gals. I totally agree. I went out today and got some high cal snacks - yoghurt and muesli, wheat crackers with veggie dips, that kinda thing. I also got salad sprinkles yesterday - sesame seeds, garlic seeds, sunflower seeds etc, to add some cals to my salads. So the rest of the week should be a breeze for me. TODAY: 120 - banana 350 - sandwich (cottage cheese/tomato/lettuce) 50 - about a cup or less of salad 200 - protein/health food shake 600 - dinner (quiche/basic green salad/about 8 hot chips) Mega water!!! 1320 TOTAL Hmmm...doesn't seem like a lot of food, but I'm STUFFED!

Ok, so Friday I blew out the window by having a more than a few sneaky drinks. Yesterday I know what I ate, but it wasn't much and I know I didn't reach my goal. Today I am up to about 600 cals. Now helathy cals either and tonight is our roast dinner night at the tavern with friends, so we'll see how we go. |
