HEALTHY TIP:
Diet soda may have no calories, but it contains artificial sweetener, which actually will make us hungrier
because when the body gets ready to digest the 'carbohydrates', it finds there are none. This leads to a desire to eat more.

New Years Day 1/01/08:

Walked up what is called the Trig. It's the first time I've done it. I had heard about it alot from people and we finally went there to try it.

25mins walking straight uphill. I was soo out of breath...It was mean!!! And walk/running down it was pretty hard on the joints (but at least I could breath). I could really feel my stomach muscles getting jolted. We had to concentrate on running down because the track is gravelly.

I loved it and want to try and do it on a regular basis until it gets easier. It's a pity that it's a 25min drive away otherwise I would try and do it quite often.

A great start to the new year!!! :wooohooo:

:wooohooo: Sounds exhausting!
Maybe you could go weekly or bi-weekly to check your process between workouts.

Thanks Nic!

Princess, I'd really like to do that and hopefully my partner will to...he had made the comment that we should do it regularly so yayy go us. And we'll probably take the kids along next time too. They were at their dads when we did it so next time it will likely be all of us. They will probably handle it better than me too! LOL

My thighs are getting sorer as the day goes by and my honey says that his are too! LOL he's a cyclist and has nice, very muscular legs so this is good cross training for both of us!

Won't be doing anything to strenuous today apart from stretching out my leg muscles

Thanks Nic! It's great to have cheerleaders like you! :huggs:

No exercise today. Had the funeral.

My feet have been swelling up for the last week or so especially at night and especially the tops of them. Not sure if it's the warm weather, the alcohol that I've had, or what but my feet feel really hot and tight on top.

It sounds like it could be a combination of the things you mentioned.
