I felt I needed to keep on track with my food since I was shocked on the scales this morning. It was bad enough weighing in yesterday at 126.4lbs but this morning it said 129.4lbs!!! I know there are alot of factors in this to consider like the exercise i did yesterday and sometimes my weight goes up if I exercise the day before but I also need to factor in the numerous glasses of alcohol I had yesterday and the day before and the day before that and the junk food I consumed over the past week...

So back on track today and I will try and eat as healthy as I can!

Wednesday 2nd January 2008:

Breakfast
oatmeal
yogurt
pumpkin seeds
sultanas

Lunch
sandwich: 2 slices multi-grain bread with tinned salmon, lettuce and a smatter of salad dressing

Snack
large orange
almonds

Dinner
rice
stir fry beef and veggies
some noodle things

Maybe I'm the devil's advocate here, but was that food list really bad? I mean - eggs, oatmeal, fruits, veg, lamb, and even the side dishes ... what's wrong with any of those? I think a healthy person should eat those things. And the cake ... well ... as long as you didn't do like I did a month or so ago when I had 3 pieces in one day that amounted to 1/4 of the entire cake ... I think you have to have small indulgences to stay sane.

 Yep you're so right Feather. But maybe next time I will have only one small piece of cake. But it was my own home made Christmas cake that is still left and it is so yummy!!! It's probably lucky that I am only having small pieces because I could quite easily eat the whole thing in one day. Not much left now so I'll feed it to the kids and my honey...they love it too!

Teach, not really sure what I've had today...Funeral day...will log again tomorrow :goodidea:

Hi Purrrple, What are you goals with your foods?

Hey Feather, not sure if I have particular goals. The exercise is not forthcoming at the moment so I am trying to keep food to a minimum because I know there are going to end up being bigger food days when I just want to eat and eat and eat! At the moment I don't want to just pig out on everything I see, so that's good :)

I want to keep it fairly clean with the odd treat. Macaroni cheese was not planned for dinner yesterday...we had visitors right up till dinner time so my 13yr old took over and cooked. The moro bar was from when we went on holiday and went to the chocolate factory! I don't usually buy that sort of thing.

I want to get more veggies and fruit in so I'm going to concentrate on that over the next month (my goal of getting to 120lbs by the end of Feb)

They are already selling easter eggs and hot cross buns in the shops here so that is a bit of temptation with hot cross buns...we all love them! but I guess if I replace bread when I want to have them then it's not going to be so bad, but moderation is the key!

That all sounds very tasty! ( I adore plums, too, by the way. None in season here until June or July ) I'm so glad you don't eat carrot sticks and celery all day long. You eat like a real person - things that you enjoy - without going nuts.

LOL Feather, I keep thinking I should do some carrot sticks for when we get peckish during the day...actually I will go and do that when I get my bum off the computer chair! But that still won't stop me from eating normally! hehe ;)

The plums are off our tree...there are not many left..most of them got blown off back in November-December when we had bad winds. Now I am trying to rescue what is left as they ripen(the birds are beating me to them!!!) Hopefully the peaches will be ready soon but there are not many of those left either!
