hey purrrple!

for some of my exercises (leg press, leg extension, leg curl, and multi hip) i use machines at the gym.

i will take a look and see what i can find here for a demonstration of lower body exercises...

1. http://exercise.about.com/cs/exerciseworko...llowerbody2.htm

that has pictures of a few exercises, although different to what i do

2. http://www.exrx.net/Workouts/Workout2UL.html

this site seems awesome! everything is catagorized into upper and lower body, and then type of exercise, and it gives you tons of exercises you can do for each muscle! and there is a little animation of each exercise, i think it will be helpful.

3. http://www.dietsite.com/dt/exerciseplanner...odyExercise.asp

this site has pretty good pics of some lower body exercises (squat, lunge, deadlift)

you can also click on the tab for upper body exercise and there are some good ones there too!

Let me know if you need any other demos! :)

May 25, 2007:

1 hour step aerobics class

I really pushed myself today. When we went through the 5 little routines at the end, i felt so energized, and i was doing the advanced moves.

Afterwards, i promptly felt exhausted and couldn't do all my sit ups

But it was good!

Cherri-thanks! Sometimes i try to make up for my lack of exercise other days on saturday. I wish i could send our weather your way. It is beautiful outside (sunny and 18C/64F).

So, i did infact go to my muscle sculpt class for 1 hour.

That is 2 hr 45 min of exercise today, and i am pooped.

I actually tried using the 18lb bodybar, which is the heaviest body bar available for these classes. I used it for: squats, lunges, bench press. I used the 15lb body bar for biceps, triceps, shoulders. We also did inner and outer thigh lifts, pushups, situps. It was a good class, i felt like i really was working my whole body out.

While we were doing the ab work at the end of the class, my entire body started shaking..i think just from all the exercise today LOL.. so i took it easy and didn't push myself. :)

May 29:

Today i had a 10 min walk in the pouring rain to the gym

Then i did a 1 hour muscle sculpt class.

I was really pushing myself. I used an 18lb bodybar for: squats, lunges, shoulder press, rows, inner and outer thigh, other arm exercises. I used 2 x 9lb dumbells for bicep curls (9lb/arm). I even did 12 pushups, which is alot for me. :)

thanks cherri and purrple!

yeah i think i am toning quite alot. I don't actually want the "muscled look" at the end, i just want to be toned and unjiggly, but still soft...thus, toning along the way and stopping around 175lbs...at least for now :)

wow! your awesome! Ya know I went to HWF and checked out your food diary and was offended by the comments that girl was making about her opinion on your calories and the pace of you weight loss. I think she's nuts cause from the looks of it you are building a ton of muscle and muscle weighs more then fat so ofcouse the scale is going to move at a slower pace! Thats why we can't go by the scale alone! You are doing great! Wooo Hooo
God said it. I believe it. That settles it.

thank you kat :) That situation you mention was a very frustrating one for me, and i appreciate that you are on my side Wooo Hooo

I honestly think my body was just having to get used to the way i am doing things, and also being consistant about exercising and eating is helping alot. I'm pleased with how things are going now, and i feel like i am now "acceptably obese" instead of "disgustingly obese" so that is a good step. It is sometimes disheartening to think about how far i have to go, so i don't think about that too much and m ake small goals B) I'm excited to be close to under 220lbs Dance Party

thanks kat :)

I did a 1 hour step aerobics class today. I probably shouldnt have, but i was feeling ok sickness wise (if that makes sense)...however i had no energy at all. My heart rate was at 65% or so instead of the 80-85% it normally g ets to in that class.

We did about 35 min step aerobics, and then 20 min weights and a bit of abs.

Better then nothing, but definately not my best workout.
